'With black you can do anything': Teresa Giudice talks about her personal style as she joins Melissa Gorga for Paper photo spread

Real Housewives and real-life sisters-in-law Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are the stars of the latest issue of Paper magazine.

The pair are pictured doing 'housewife' things in a glossy photo shoot where Teresa vacuums the carpet wearing stiletto heeled ankle boots and a blue pop pom dress, as Melissa reclines on a sofa in a red jumpsuit and waving a feather duster.

And in an interview the women dish on their own personal styles and their fashion influences.

Teresa, 44,  whose husband Joe is currently in federal prison serving time for fraud, and Melissa, 37, who's married to Teresa's brother Joe, have had a rocky relationship.

The two have feuded and fallen out several times as documented on Bravo's Real Housewives Of New York.

But after Teresa went to prison for fraud for virtually all of 2015, the women reconnected and reconciled as Melissa stepped up to help care for her sister-in-law's four daughter while she was behind bars.

'I've always loved fashion,' Teresa tells Paper. 'I was always the type in high school trying new things and combos -- weird hats and accessories. My whole outfit would sometimes revolve around that hat or belt.'

Melissa, though, confesses: 'I wasn't very fashion forward, but I was very trendy.'

'I loved being a tomboy when I was younger. I used to do the overalls, Sperrys, all that.'

As for what they love to have as 'timeless' pieces in their wardrobe, it's animal print that does it for Teresa.

'I will never get tired of leopard,' she declares. 'I have leopard everything -- bra, jacket, shoes, rugs, gloves. It's always good. I guess it's the Jersey in me.'

'As I've gotten a little older, I've taken more of a classic style, more timeless -- less color. More black,' she noted. 'When you wear a lot of color, you can only wear it once! Everyone will remember that. But with black, you can do anything.'

Teresa reveals that her fashion inspiration is Cher, while for Melissa it is Charlize Theron.

And while Melissa prefers to dress for comfort - she describes herself as 'a sweatpants, flip-flops kind of girl' - when she goes out she opts for 'high-waist, tight-fitting pants or jeans and a cute blazer. Simple.'
