Mariah Carey's dramatic split from billionaire James Packer is getting very messy.

The couple have not seen each other in over a month after a fight while on a romantic European vacation, her spokesperson has said.

The pair's engagement unraveled during a stay on a luxury yacht in Greece in September.

TMZ reports James, 48, allegedly did 'something really bad' that involved Mariah's assistant and there are other allegations about his behaviour.

Her spokesperson has denied speculation the split was over infidelity and insists the 46-year-old singer's excessive spending was not to blame.

'Mariah and James had a fight in Greece, and have not seen each other since. The fight was not because of any cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah,' her spokesperson told ET exclusively.

James failed to attend Mariah's Halloween party over the weekend, where the star was seen posing for photos with ex Nick Cannon and their children.

There has been much speculation about the cause of the split, with TMZ initially claiming that the R&B diva had some sort of rendezvous with one of her dancers during her Las Vegas residency.

Allegations have since been made about his conduct on their Greece trip, which his camp have branded 'simply untrue'.

A source also told Us Weekly Mariah felt he wasn't 'present' enough for her.

The split was first reported by Woman's Day's in Australia, with a family friend revealing: 'It's all over.'

The publication also claimed that the tycoon has allowed her to keep her $10m diamond engagement ring.

The pair became engaged in January after a whirlwind romance of less than a year.

The duo remained coy on the details of their impending nuptials, but Mariah did suggest that the wedding would be a low-key event rather than an ostentatious affair.

'I can't really talk about them right now because everything is still being figured out,' she teased, noting, 'I never said it was gonna be a big wedding', she told People magazine, earlier this year.
