British banker Rurik Jutting admits killing 2 Indonesian women in Hong Kong

A British banker accused of killing two Indonesian sex workers tortured one for three days with pliers and sex toys before forcing her to lick the toilet, a court heard. Rurik Jutting, 31, was high on cocaine when he filmed himself slitting the women's throats in a 'horrifying' attack in his luxury Hong Kong flat in 2014, prosecutors said. The Cambridge University graduate today pleaded not guilty to murdering Sumarti Ningsih, 23 and Seneng Mujiasih, 26, whose bodies were found in his apartment. His attempt to plead guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter was rejected by prosecutors at the High Court today. Prosecutor John Reading told the court how Jutting subjected Ms Ningsih to cruel acts of violence using his belt, sex toys, a pair of pliers and his fists.

Malta Airport plane crash shown in terrifying footage

Horrifying dashcam footage has captured the moment a plane nose-dived into the ground and exploded in a ball of flames in Malta, killing all five people on board. The light aircraft, carrying three French Defence Ministry officials and two private contractors, crashed shortly after taking-off from the runway at Malta Airport today. No one on board the plane, which was on its way to conduct a surveillance mission over the Mediterranean, is thought to have survived the crash at 7.20am today. Calais Jungle migrants told to go back to camp as authorities 'run out of buses'

More than one thousand migrants began queuing before dawn to be transferred from the camp this morning on the first day of the operation to clear the sprawling shanty town in Calais, France. The migrants are being divided into four groups for families, single men, unaccompanied minors and other people considered vulnerable before taking one of 60 buses waiting to take them to 451 shelters nationwide. But just hours after the operation started, there were reports this morning that French authorities did not have enough buses to take away all of those who had been processed.

Made in Chelsea crew plane crashes in the Pacific en route to Costa Rica

A plane carrying crew of television show Made in Chelsea has crashed in the Pacific ahead of a Costa Rica special episode. Two senior producers and two technical directors were on board the small private plane when it lost control and fell into the sea off Puntarenas. The incident is said to have been caused by bad weather but none of the crew nor the pilot were harmed and they were all taken to a local hospital for precautionary checks.

Iraqi forces celebrate reaching Mosul outskirts as ISIS' hold on the city crumbles

The video from a new angle captures the giant beast plunging jaws-first into the cage as it snapped at four divers inside, who had to escape by swimming past it to a nearby boat. Panicking below, the divers watched in horror as the monster shark thrashed around, getting itself further lodged in between the bars. The incident, which took place in September, follows another terrifying video of a shark wriggling its way inside a diver's cage near the same Mexican island.
