'Fresh look for the fall!': America Ferrera unveils shorter and lighter locks as she admits she was nervous about the transformation

Throughout her career, she has stayed true to her natural, dark hair. 

But America Ferrera has gone to the lighter side and debuted her new colour and cut on Instagram over the weekend.

The 32-year-old actress admitted her initial doubts over the transformation, but has since fallen in love with her new look.

On Wednesday, America showed off multiple looks, ranging from curly to wavy and straight. 

'I was nervous about such a big change, and now I can't decide which way I love my new haircut most!!'

'All the credit goes to the brilliant ladies who helped me get this new, fun, fresh look for the fall! Cut by @mioknyc and color by @katieschember,' wrote the actress.

Though she's set to star in the feature film, How to Train Your Dragon 3, she will not have to change her look, as the action-adventure flick is an animation.
