Girls got a good constitution! Lena Dunham grins at question and answer session day after complaining she was 'breeding a terrible virus'

Just the day before she took a photograph of herself in bed and complained about a 'terrible virus.'

But Lena Dunham was looking back to her peerless self as she showcased her figure at a question and answer session in the Big Apple on Thursday.

The actress was grinning as she posed on the red carpet before heading in for her appearance at the Conversation With Girls event at the New York Television Festival.

Miraculous recovery: Lena Dunham looked fit and well at the Conversation With Girls event in New York on Thursday

Lena, 30, was looking as good as ever as she showcased her figure in a tan dress, browl trenchcoat and fur-toed stilettos.

No doubt the ethereal beauty was relishing having the chance to talk at length about her HBO sitcom, which is mercifully ending after season six next year.

The self-styled comedienne had certainly made a remarkable improvement over he condition just a day ago, where she posted a photo of Instagram lying in her sickbed with beau Jack Antonoff.

She said: 'We are breeding a terrible virus in this apartment.

'No one should get near us ever again and there's a chance we shouldn't get near each other #insicknessandinhealth.'

Funk up your footsies with feathers like Lena

Lena Dunham is the queen of quirky style so it's no surprise we spotted her wearing these feathered Topshop sandals at a press event for Girls.

These feathered beauties were the finishing statement to her simple and chic ensemble. Shearling sandals and fur slides were the byword in fashion this season, and the look continues to evolve into dressier styles.

Everyone knows that the quick and fastest route to sartorial heaven is always in some fancy footwear. So leopard printed, feather embellished sandals for a bargain $90 price tag is what we call an easy NO BRAINER.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton campaigner Lena yet again proved her social media savyy after being touted as the driving force behind 'nasty woman' trending on Twitter after the last presidential debate.

Female unpleasantness as a tongue-in-cheek rallying cry is on T-shirts, in memes and in tweets galore - a backlash mocking Donald Trump's insult of his presidential rival, who is cruising in the polls.

Trump's outburst that she is 'such a nasty woman' came during one of his interruptions of his Democratic rival in Wednesday's final presidential debate.

'RT if you're a nasty woman and it's made your life a freakin' pleasure,' Dunham tweeted at the time.
