A father has been left red-faced after managing to completely miss his child's dance performance, instead filming the teacher's bottom.

A video of the wiggling pert posterior has gone viral, clocking up 160,000 views after it was filmed at a Russian nursery school when the youngsters put on a show for their parents.

But as the children start dancing along to Psy's worldwide hit Gangnam Style, the dad's smartphone camera suddenly veers to the left and focuses on the teacher's bottom, and stays firmly pointed at it for the duration of the dance.

The video starts as it is meant to, with the father filming the pupils in the class as they begin their performance

But it isn't long before he realises the teacher is next to him and the camera angle starts to change

For the rest of the film, the father is focused very much on the class's teacher and her red dress

She is wearing a tight fitting red dress, with a sequinned top and shakes her hips to the music

Her red skirted rear covers almost the entire frame as he pulls an extreme close up on her gyrations.

In fact, he focuses so hard on her performance that he does not capture a single step of the children's dance.

The father was sure to have been left red-faced when he realised he had not captured any of his child's routine

Online commentators speculated about what the father's partner might say when she saw the video

A Russia-wide hunt has been triggered to look for the teacher and the father as it is not clear where this was filmed

But the smartphone film - titled 'Daddy is Filming an Event at the Kindergarten'- has triggered a Russia-wide hunt for both the shamefaced dad - and the teacher.

One watcher known as 'ElCampion777' said: 'Wonderful teacher, and great moves.'

Another called 'Leha Cool' added: 'The cameraman definitely chose the right angle.'

A third watcher said: 'He's going to have some explaining to do his partner when she sees this. Teachers didn't look like this when I was at school.'
