Howard Stern says there's nothing shocking about audio that's been unearthed of Donald Trump making lewd comments about women.

For nearly 20 years, Trump called into Stern's show and talked about his playboy lifestyle.

'None of this was hidden,' Stern in a Tuesday broadcast. 'This is who Trump is. He was always bombastic. He always rated women.'

'He always talked in a misogynistic, sexist kind of way, but he did it sort of proudly and out in the open; and he still won the Republican primary.'

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE: For nearly 20 years, Donald Trump called into Stern's show and talked about his playboy lifestyle. 'This is who Trump is. He was always bombastic. He always rated women,' Stern said

The long-time broadcaster says it's clear to him that the things Trump said on his broadcast are at the core of who he is as a person.

'We do an interview and people's personalities come out, I'm very proud of that,' Stern said.

He said, 'Now those words are biting him in the a**, but in general, we have a different kind of interviewing process than any other place.

'Which is why, all of the sudden, everyone, CNN, NBC, Fox, they have to turn to our tapes because it's a real conversation.'

Stern is voting for Hillary Clinton because he agrees with her on key issues like immigration and abortion.

But he's not looking to knife Trump by releasing the tapes of their tawdry on-air talks.

'I certainly wasn't going to f*** him over by releasing those tapes,' Stern said in the broadcast.

The Sirius XM radio host said Trump 'was a very good sport and he was in the spirit of the show.'

'He's been very friendly toward me, friendly toward the show, always coming on,' Stern said.

For that reason, Stern said he wasn't going to do further damage to Trump's White House bid by re-sharing their conversations.

'Those tapes are out there on the internet anyway, so that was my stance.'

Like Trump, he 'certainly, in a million years' didn't expect that the billionaire would ever 'seriously run for president' and make this an issue.

Without Stern's help, reporters have managed to get their hands on the Trump tapes all on their own.

Some of the more troubling clips have had Trump saying things like , 'A person who’s flat-chested is very hard to be a 10.'

'Do you like girls that are five-foot-one?...They come up to you-know-where.'

He told Stern in 2005, after marrying Melania, 'The sex is extraordinary.'

Trump noted that his wife is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside, 'which is almost as important.'

'Not really,' Stern replied. 'No, probably not,' Trump said.

In a September 2004 interview Stern asked Trump if could call his daughter, Ivanka, a 'piece of a**.'

'Your daughter... Can I say this? A piece of a**,' Stern says to him. 'Yeah,' Trump replied.

Trump apologized for the 2005 Access Hollywood hot mic 'grab them by the p***y' tape but says it was nothing more than 'locker room' talk. Twelve women have since accused him of sexual assault. Above, 77-year-old Cliff Smith, protests Trump outside his DC hotel on Wednesday

Hillary Clinton has called the Republican nominee a sexist and a misogynist over his comments about women, including to his face at a presidential debate.

Trump apologized for the 2005 Access Hollywood hot mic 'grab them by the p***y' tape but says it was nothing more than 'locker room' talk.

Twelve women have since accused him of sexual assault. The billionaire says their stories are 'made up,' and they may have been instigated to speak out by Clinton.

He's said he'll sue each and every one of them for slander after the election.
