Kim Kardashian recreates iconic Bruce Jenner Wheaties box with Caitlyn for a Kimoji... as family mark 67th birthday with 'best dad ever' tributes

It's been claimed that tensions between Caitlyn Jenner and the Kardashians have been frayed ever since her bombshell Vanity Fair interview last year.

But the family showed their support for the transgender star on Friday as they wished her a happy 67th birthday.

Kim paid tribute to Caitlyn with a special Kimoji in her honour, which recreated the Olympian's iconic Wheaties cereal boxes.

Time to celebrate: Kim Kardashian paid tribute to Caitlyn Jenner on her 67th birthday on Friday by creating a Kimoji in her honour. The I Am Cait star is pictured that morning

Breakfast of champions: The reality star's Kimoji team re-made the Olympian's iconic Wheaties cereal box cover with Caitlyn

The athlete, who was born Bruce, became a spokesperson for the breakfast cereal in 1977 - a year after winning gold at the Olympic Games - and featured on the front of the brand's boxes.

Kim's special Kimoji showed Caitlyn on the front of the box, wearing the dress she sported to the ESPYS earlier this year, with the Wheaties logo replaced with her name.

Kim has been taking some time off from her subscription based app and website kimkardashianwest.com, but her team shared the new Kimoji on Friday morning.

'In honor of her birthday, the KIMOJI team made Caitlyn her very own KIMOJI! Happy Birthday Caitlyn!' an accompanying note read.

Meanwhile Caitlyn's two youngest children Kendall and Kylie used their apps to pen birthday messages in Caitlyn's honour.

Kylie shared two recent photos of them together on thekyliejenner.com and wrote: 'Happy birthday to the best dad ever!!! Kendall and I seriously lucked out.

'We always have fun together, like that time when I had this school project to paint a rock and you took me to the golf course to find the perfect one. We searched forever until we found one with a smooth side.'

She added: 'When we got home, you painted a ladybug on it, and honestly, it was the best ladybug EVER! I know you still have it somewhere! I have to find it now, lol. Love you, Dad! I hope you have the best birthday!'

Meanwhile Kendall posted some flashback snapshots with a short but sweet note on kendallj.com.

'Happy birthday to my hero! I hope you have the best birthday ever, Dad!' she shared. 'I love you so much and I'm so proud of you for everything you've accomplished. I can't wait to see what else you'll achieve. You're the best dad ever!'

And Khloe Kardashian appeared to be quashing rumours that she has been on bad terms with Caitlyn ever since the I Am Cait star slammed ex-wife Kris in Vanity Fair.

'Happy birthday Caitlyn! Thank you for always inspiring me to live my most authentic life,' she wrote on her site khloewithak.com.

Caitlyn enjoyed a low-key morning on her birthday, and was spotted grabbing a coffee with 35-year-old son Brandon (from her marriage to Linda Thompson) and his daughter Eva, 15 months.

The star was dressed down for the outing in a peach jumper and jeans, adding some glamour with chunky peep toe heels.

After Caitlyn revealed her true identity on the cover of Vanity Fair, Bruce Jenner Wheaties boxes started selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars.

The breakfast cereal creator General Mills was criticised after the magazine issue came out, for stating: 'Bruce Jenner continues to be a respected member of Team Wheaties.'

However the brand's media relations manager later clarified its statement, explaining: 'Bruce Jenner has been a respected member of Team Wheaties, and Caitlyn Jenner will continue to be.'
