After a Tuesday filled with cause for celebration, Ciara kept her festive mood alive when she stepped out in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old was spotted among the celebrities at a party the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America/Vogue Fashion Fund threw at Chateau Marmont.

Only a day before, she'd not only rung in a birthday, but also publicised her first pregnancy by her dashing husband Russell Wilson.

At the CFDA party, she'd slid into a pleated black leather miniskirt that bared her impressively toned legs. 

Heavily strapped black platform stilettos elongated the look of her vertiginous stems even further. 

Tucked into the skirt was a thin black top with a neckline that exposed only the faintest trace of cleavage.

She accessorised by way of a sheer strip of black that wound its way about her neck as a choker, complementing her outfit. 

An Oxford blue blazer sat over the entire ensemble, though traces of black - buttons as well as the collar - kept to the theme of the ensemble. 

Her colossal diamond engagement ring glittered on her hand, and her brown and blonde hair cascaded freely.

Over the whole affair was a jacket with pale multicoloured patterns splashed across a white background.

On Tuesday, she lit up her Instagram page with a black and white photo of herself lying back against her husband, who rested his hands against her belly. She rested her left hand over his, deftly foregrounding her engagement ring.

'On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family..' she wrote in her caption, 'and I'm excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give...' Along came an emoji of a baby's face.

The Seattle Seahawks' quarterback posted the same picture to his own Instagram, writing: 'The Greatest Blessing of All. Forever Grateful. #BabyWilsonOnTheWay'.

The couple have been married since July, having struck up their romance last year. Though the impending baby is their first, Ciara's got a two-year-old son called Future Zahir Wilburn, who was sired by the rapper also called Future.

According to E! News, Wilson and Ciara have already 'told baby Future about his sibling that's in his mommy's belly. He seems excited.'
