Not loving the rain! Brooke Shields, 51, goes make-up free as she runs errands in New York City 

It was raining in the West Village neighbourhood of New York City on Thursday.

But that didn't deter Brooke Shields.

The 51-year-old actress was spotted out running errands between the showers. But she sure didn't seem to be too happy about it.

She didn't bother with make-up for her trip, allowing her skin to breathe on the cold and damp day.

The beautiful star, who sports a mane of chestnut tresses, wrapped up warm against the inclement weather.

Brooke wore a sensible black trench coat buttoned up to the neck and tied at the waist, along with blue jeans cropped above the ankle and black leather booties.

She slung a black leather handbag across her body and carried a collapsible umbrella in case she was caught in another shower. 

Brooke, a former Calvin Klein model, married screen writer Chris Henchy in 2001 after they met in 1999 through mutual friends.

The couple share two daughters with flaming red hair, Rowan, 13, and 10-year-old Grier. The family lives in Manhattan, New York City.

Meanwhile, the busy actress was in two Hallmark TV movies this year, Flower Shop Mystery: Mum's The Word and Flower Shop Mystery: Deeply Depotted. 

She also voiced Mrs. Goodman in animated children's TV series Creative Galaxy

And she plays Sandy Winters in Daisy Winters, due out next September.
