It was a bitter cold day while on set of her upcoming crime drama Ocean's Eight.

But Dakota Fanning was subject to the freezing weather nonetheless while working on the highly anticipated film in New York City on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old beauty showcased her long slender legs as she stepped out in sky high stilettos and a leather jacket.

The I Am Sam star wrapped the mid-thigh length black coat around her slim frame while attempting to shield herself from the chilly temperatures.

A pair of strappy black beaded heels added extra height to the starlet's petite 5ft4in frame.

Her signature platinum blonde locks were parted down the centre and styled in relaxed waves which cascaded just past her shoulders.

Plot details have not yet been revealed, although The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit said that the film will reportedly revolve around a heist at the Met Gala.
