Great news: Amy Adams is sure to delight fans with confirmation that she'll be starring in a sequel to the much-loved Disney comedy
She said: 'They are working on it, its titled as of now Disenchanted and is set 10 years after [the original] but I don't know all the details, but I look forward to it.'
A parody of Disney classics, the first movie featured archetypal princess Giselle being catapulted into modern New York, where she rejected Prince Edward (James Marsden) in favour of divorce-lawyer Robert Phillip (Patrick Dempsey).
Audiences loved the concept, and rewarded the film with over $340 million in worldwide box office - and Disney has reportedly been developing the sequel since 2010.
It will feature Giselle 'questioning her happily ever after, and accidentally triggering events that make everyone's lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia'.

The screen-play has been written by David Stem and David WeissIt and will be directed by Adam Shankman.
Amy did not reveal if it will feature her co-stars James Marsden and Patrick Dempsey.
The news comes as a surprise after Amy previously referred to Enchanted as the 'perfect standalone movie'.

She said: 'It has a great beginning, a great middle, and a great end. I watched it recently, because I typically don't watch my work a lot, and I thought, I really like that movie.
'It was nice to revisit that work and have really positive feelings about it. But I think it works so well.'
James Marsden, however, has previously spoken about wanting a second film, saying: 'We all hoped it would happen. I don't understand why they never did it.
She said: 'They are working on it, it's titled as of now Disenchanted and is set 10 years after [the original]'
'It was a very successful movie. But at some point when the gray hairs start coming, you can't really play the quintessential animated prince anymore.'
Meanwhile, in-demand actress Amy has been extremely busy with multiple projects.
She recently started filming Justice League, in which she is reprising her role as Lois Lane and can next be seen in alien drama Arrival, which hits cinemas on November 11 and also stars Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker.
Amy is then starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Armie Hammer in Nocturnal Animals.
The movie, which is due for release on December 9, follows a gallery owner who is haunted by her ex-husband's thriller novel.
The five-time Oscar nominee is also working on upcoming thriller series Sharp Objects, due to premiere next year, in which she portrays a reporter who recently checked out of a psychiatric hospital.
