Who is Drizzy? The ridiculous moment Alex Trebek recited lyrics to 'Jumpman' for a Drake question on Jeopardy

  • A question on Wednesday night's episode of Jeopardy included lyrics to Drake's Jumpman
  • Social media users found host Alex Trebek's recitation of the rap lyrics hilarious

Alex Trebek started hosting Jeopardy in 1984 - two years before the birth of the rapper Drake.

So it was perhaps unsurprising that social media users found it hilarious when Trebek had to recite some of Drake's lyrics for a question this week.

On Wednesday night's show, a $400 question under the topic of 'Musical Acts' read: 'This Canadian rapped, "Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman, them boys up to somethin'. uh uh uh I think I need a Robitussin.'

Trebek (left) and Drake (right) are both Canadian. Trebek has been hosting the show since 1984 - two years before Drake's birth

A contestant named George correctly answered the question, saying 'Who is Drake?'

The question referenced lyrics from Drake and Future's song Jumpman from their 2015 mixtape What a Time to Be Alive (Jumpman being a reference to basketball legend Michael Jordan).

This isn't the first time that rap lyrics have popped up in Jeopardy questions. Trebek has previously recited lyrics from the Beastie Boys, the Notorious B.I.G. and Will Smith.

But the internet nonetheless went mad when they heard Trebek's Drake question this week.

'I'll give a dollar to hear Alex Trebek say the lyrics to Jumpman again' one Twitter user wrote.

'Alex Trebek just tried to quote the lyrics to Jumpman on TV and this is why I watch Jeopardy,' another user added.
