A natural daddy! Joseph Gordon-Levitt carries his toddler alongside wife Tasha McCauley in rare family outing

On Saturday, Joseph Gordon-Levitt enjoyed a walk in Los Angeles with his family.

The 35-year-old had pulled on a tight black T-shirt that showed off his musclebound arms as they cradled his year-old son.

His wife Tasha McCauley strolled alongside him. Despite the 14 months that have elapsed since they welcomed their first child, they've yet to divulge his name.

The Snowden star had perched a blue Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap onto his head, its brim casting a shadow over his spectacles.

Pewter grey jeans hung loosely about his toned stems, and he'd slipped into a pair of black and white trainers for his walk.

At times, he seemed to be giving his son sips from a beverage he was holding in a cup with a straw.

Meanwhile, his wife wore a 1950s-style white dress speckled with black polka dots. A collar topped the sloping neckline, which allowed only the faintest hint of cleavage. The hem was cut at the thigh, enabling her to showcase her svelte legs.

Multicoloured headbands wrapped about her black hair, which was pulled into a bun, though she'd left her bangs grown in. 

She kept her phone in her hands, her husband having freed them up by assuming baby-carrying duty.

Camel-coloured leather boots artfully complemented a mahogany purse she'd slung over her left shoulder. She accessorised further with black trapezoidal sunglasses and a pair of long teardrop earrings.

As she and her husband strolled through a car park, she put an arm about his shoulders and planted a kiss on his cheek.

Though the pair reportedly married in December of 2014, he's been famously reticent to discuss her, telling Playboy last September that 'I’m married to a woman who doesn’t like strangers being privy to her life and relationships.'

As he noted, 'we kept our wedding a secret. It wasn’t that difficult because we didn’t tell many people about it. As much as some people may disagree, I don’t believe a person’s private life - even a person in entertainment - is a public performance.'

Added the 500 Days Of Summer star: 'I also want very much to respect my wife’s wishes - and frankly mine too - that we keep our private life private.'

That same month, which was the month after he and his wife had their baby, he appeared on Live! With Kelly And Michael and discussed his protectiveness. 

Being a recongisable figure, in his description, 'has its upsides and, honestly, some downsides.'

As he appraised the situation: 'My son, he's just a baby, you know? So, he hasn't made the choice to be in the public eye, and that's a choice that I would like him to be able to make when he's older, you know, when he can think about these kinds of things and make that decision for himself.'
