They've been enjoying a half-term break in sunny LA.

But all good things come to an end and for the Beckhams that meant a trip back to the chilly UK for the children to start school on Monday.

Football legend David, 41, carried his adorable daughter Harper, 5, in his arms as the clan headed to LAX airport for their trip home to London on Saturday evening.

Donning a hat and sunglasses despite it being the black of night, he looked suave in a shirt and jeans combination, carrying his hand luggage over his shoulder and sporting some carefully groomed facial hair.

With his sleeves rolled up to above the elbow, he showed off his tattoos as he headed to the terminal to check in.

Harper flashed a beaming smile - perhaps excited to get back to school - as she enjoyed the ride in her father's arms in a cute white dress with matching sandals.

And Brooklyn looked laid back in a Thrasher hoodie and jeans, teamed with some Vans pumps as he carried his rucksack over one shoulder.

The aspiring photographer, 17, wore his hood up with his locks swept to one side as he stolled to security.

Meanwhile, Romeo, 14, carried an enormous tennis bag as he flanked his father through the terminal.

On Saturday David sparked speculation that Cruz is recording his own music when he shared a cute Instagram snap of his 11-year-old singing into a microphone at producer Rodney Jerkins' studio on Saturday.

He simply captioned the photo '@rodneyjerkins', leaving it unclear as to whether or not Cruz was being recorded.
