She's an in-demand model known for turning heads on the red carpet and the runway.

But on Saturday night Suki Waterhouse proved she can dazzle in more casual attire, as she attended Katy Perry's high school themed Halloween party at Hollywood Legion.

The 24-year-old British beauty got playful in a frilly white tutu that stopped well north of her knees and a naughty T-shirt that said 'Lick me'.

The London-born stunner hiked the tutu up past her belly button, creating a deliberately geeky and awkward look.

She paired the curious ensemble with a pair of pristine white sneakers and ankle socks, keeping it simple and comfortable for her late night out. 

The easy-does-it approach continued with her hair - which she scraped away from her face in a simple bun - and her make up, which consisted of the lightest smear of lipstick and a dusting of blush, both in a pale, understated palate. 

Her fellow guests, including Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev and Juno's Ellen Page, also avoided Halloween clichés, putting their own swerve on late October style.

Nina attended the bash with Art Department actress Lane Cheek.

The duo dressed as 2016 Olympic swimmers Ryan Lochte and Jimmy Feigen, wearing red, white and blue Speedo racing gear, along with fleshy shirts meant to recreate the swimmers' ripped torsos.

Later in the evening Lane shared a photo with her 41,000 Instagram followers that showed her and gal pal Nina holding beer cans emblazoned with the swimmers' names - while the real Jimmy, dressed as an astronaut, posed behind them.

It was unclear if Ellen was wearing a costume or not, but she more than met the high school brief in a pair of slouchy corduroy trousers and a stripy t-shirt.

She layered a black baseball jacket - with white striped lining - over the tee and wore a pair of easy-does-it Converse, creating a cosy look that screamed secondary education. 

The Canadian actress appeared to go make-up free, letting her natural beauty speak for itself as she wore her hair scraped away from her face and beneath a baseball cap as she arrived with girlfriend Samantha Thomas.

Katy's massive Halloween party seemed to be inspired by the 1978 Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta movie Grease, which was set in a 1950s high school.

Her hunky beau Orlando Bloom portrayed a jock, wearing a red jacket with a B - perhaps for Bloom - on it, along with a whistle around his neck and a pair of vintage, thigh-skimming athletic shorts.  

With his hair dyed platinum blonde and a large basketball beneath his arm, he got playful for Katy's Snapchat, sticking out his very long and inviting tongue.
