A Connecticut man faces criminal charges after he became enraged and was accused of damaging a salon following a bad haircut.

Alan Becker, 47, was more furious when he was told on Wednesday that the haircut would cost him $50 at the Loft Salon in Stamford.

Becker kicked a hole in a wall at the salon, became hostile toward staff and customers as he shouted at them, and threw a candle display among other items before leaving, said Stamford Police Sgt. Kelly Connelly.

He later returned to the salon and demanded that his hair be 'fixed', but the owner refused and called the police, according to the Courant.

'He was just very irate about his haircut,' said Connelly. 'He did not like the way that it was cut.'

Becker was arrested at his Stamford home on breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief charges.

He was released on a promise to appear in court.
