It's my party and I'll dance if I want to! Alexa Chung shows off her best moves as she works the room at her M&S collection launch in a slinky dress

She had gathered a room full of high profile celebrities, fashion influencers and pals to celebrate the launch of her new M&S clothing collection.

So naturally Alexa Chung, 32, was in the mood to celebrate on Tuesday evening, at a party held inside Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush, London.

The model and fashion designer worked the room - even pulling a few fun moves on the dancefloor - as she styled out a second outfit from the new Archive By Alexa AW16 range in one day.

It's my party: Alexa Chung was the centre of attention at the official launch of her M&S clothing collection Archive By Alexa AW16 on Tuesday night in London

Alexa hit the dancefloor with conviction, rocking a pair of chunky, retro heels to set off her lingerie-style dress.

With her arms in the air, Alexa certainly seemed ready to let her hair down - now doubt thanks to the media frenzy sparked by her second collection with the brand.

On the night, Alexa was surrounded by loyal pals, including Jack Guinness and Pixie Geldof, as well as the TV presenter's old T4 screen companion, Rick Edwards.

The Saturdays' Mollie King also proved herself to be a fan of the collection by sporting the cute polka dot dress that fans have been keen to get their hands on.

Busting a move: The brunette wore a third outfit from her fashion collection, a slinky animal print dress

Laugh out loud: The stunner certainly seemed to be embracing her fun side

Wild thing: The music was obviously enough to get Alexa up and dancing

Wahoo! Alexa threw her arms into the air as she celebrated the evening

She styled it in her own way, adding a retro red lipstick and pinning her hair back into an elegant up-do.

Earlier that day, she'd worn the must-have pinafore dress at the high street favourite's Marble Arch store in London, where she made a special appearance in aid of the launch.

The model looked striking as she stepped out in the chic black dress, which exhibited every inch of her statuesque frame.

Layering up: Proving that the collection is very versatile, the fashionista layered on her velvet jacket, which is a staple for the season ahead

Sibling support: Alexa was accompanied by her brother, Dom Chung, who DJ'd at the event

Famous faces: Mollie King was in attendance, rocking the stylish polka dot dress

A must-have: She made the AW16 item look like a must-have, with her retro styling

Alexa's midi-length number cinched in her waist, and was worn with a pair of sheer black tights.

The British model injected a splash of colour to her ensemble with patent red kitten heels.

Alexa kept her make-up natural, allowing her smudged cat-eye liner to do all the talking.

The former TV presenter's shoulder-length locks framed her face to perfection and she looked striking as she showed off key pieces from her collection.

Dancing queen: The star lifted her dress to enable her freedom of movement

Dance partner: She danced with old friend Jack Guinness on the dancefloor

All the moves: The duo appeared to be perfectly in sync when it came to their moves

Friends reunited: Alexa bumped into former T4 co-presenter Rick Edwards

Loyal pal: Pixie Geldof was also in attendance, helping to celebrate her friend's success

Fashion fan: Laura Jackson sported the shimmering gold blouse, ready for Christmas

The new collection is dubbed a 'modern interpretation of archive pieces, fusing a rich heritage with contemporary style'.

The collection features the animal prints and PVC skirts that she often wears on the front row of fashion week.

Alexa also recently announced that her new label, Alexachung, will be landing in stores in May 2017 and will be sold at luxury retailers Selfridges and MatchesFashion.com.

Alexa has been dating Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård, 40, since last year.

It was previously rumoured that an engagement could be on the cards between Alexa and Alexander.

'Alexa has told friends that [an English stately home] would be her dream wedding location – and now they are saying that they wouldn't be surprised if an engagement was on the way,' a source told Grazia magazine.

'Alexa's relationship with Alex is going great. That's why she was happy for him to meet her family – she would only ever introduce someone she was serious about to them.'

The actor recently appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live and denied he was about to marry Alexa.

Replying to a caller who said she'd read reports of wedding bells, he replied: 'Wow, I hope I'm invited. Wow, thank you.'

'Are you getting married in the next year?' the host prodded. 'Not that I know of,' the actor replied.

'But if it's in a gossip magazine, I guess it's probably true, so I better get started.'
