'He has this beautiful childlike nature': Heavily pregnant Teresa Palmer gushes about working with Mel Gibson... as actress reveals she wants 'six children'

She's expecting her second child in just a matter of weeks.

But Teresa Palmer has shown no signs of slowing down, with the actress continuing to work throughout her pregnancy.

The 30-year-old stars in Mel Gibson's latest film Hacksaw Ridge and she recently gushed to Who magazine about working alongside the Hollywood director.

'He has this beautiful childlike nature': Teresa Palmer, 30, revealed to Who magazine what it was like to work alongside director Mel Gibson, 60, in Australian production Hacksaw Ridge, adding that he's simply 'the best'

'He's the best. He is so jovial and he has this beautiful childlike nature and this infectious quality that just draws you in,' she began. 

'I mean, he does not see himself on a pedestal at all, even though people try to put him on one.'

Teresa also shared details on her private life, revealing she wants 'six children' with husband Mark Webber.

'Everyone who knows me knows I want six children,' she gushed.

Teresa plays the love interest of lead character Desmond Doss, a renowned WWII conscientious objector, played by Andrew Garfield in the war movie.

Desmond saved 75 men in the Japanese prefecture of Okinawa in WWII, without ever firing a gun.

The star-studded cast also includes Hugo Weaving, Vince Vaughn, Sam Worthington and Luke Bracey. 

This is not the first time Teresa has been very complimentary towards Mel, revealing to 2DAY FM's Rove and Sam last month that the star would eat lunch with the whole crew.

'I have worked with a lot of actors who will go and do their thing and then at lunchtime they typically go into their trailer and have an assistant get them lunch or whatever,' she began.

'Mel would sit and eat with the whole cast, the whole crew, knew everyone's name. We had a crew of 200 plus. Constantly be engaging with people,' the Los Angeles-based star continued.

'[He is] just the most regular guy you can imagine, and that to me was refreshing. So that speaks to his spirit, that's really cool,' Teresa added.

At 32 weeks pregnant, Teresa is just moments away from giving birth to her second child with 36-year-old actor Mark.

The couple already share a two-year-old son Bodhi Rain, as well as Mark's son Isaac, from a previous relationship.
