EXCLUSIVE 'It could give out at any point': 'Vulnerable' Laura Whitmore is dicing with danger after ankle injury as she regrets 'letting down' Strictly partner Giovanni Pernice
She was forced to pull out of one of Strictly Come Dancing's live shows after sustaining an ankle injury.
And even after making a triumphant return to the dance floor and scoring top points for her Tango last week, Laura Whitmore has revealed that she's still haunted by the jive that she never got to perform.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, the 31-year-old Irish presenter admitted that she felt like a 'failure' after skipping the routine on doctor's orders, and revealed that above all she was devastated to have 'let down' her professional partner, Giovanni Pernice.

The former I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! host, explained: 'I was grateful to be back on the dance floor. I felt a bit if a failure the week before so had a lot to prove and wanted to do myself and Giovanni justice.
'I was really upset to be letting down my dance partner with my injury, I couldn't do everything I wanted to do.'
She added that after returning to the dance floor she was 'petrified', explaining: ' I have never been so scared in my life. I've lost a lot of confidence as not only am I scared I might forget the moves, I'm scared my ankle could give out at any point.'

Laura revealed she was loving dancing with Giovanni, as she explained that she wasn't allowing the fact that he recently split from her friend, Georgia May Foote, to influence her opinion of him.
The Italian dancer was partnered with Georgia for last year's series, and the pair later embarked on a high-profile romance that came to an end in August, just weeks before he was partnered with Laura.
But the bubbly blonde insisted that this had no bearing on their relationship together, as she explained: 'I met Gio for the first time when i was given him as a dance partner and that's how I judge him.'

She continued: 'That's all I've ever known him as. He's been really supportive as a dance partner and we've been through a lot with the injury and he's been so good... strict but patient.
'We've got to know each other for the past few weeks.'
Despite the reports of an 'explosive falling out' between the girls, which both later denied, Laura confirmed that everything was fine between them.
'There's nothing to it!' she laughed. 'It's been completely blown out of proportion.'

Reports of tensions between the stars on this year's series was also dismissed, with Laura revealing: 'I'm surprised how well I get on with everyone. I wouldn't have survived the last week without them. No one else knows what were going through except us.'
The stunning starlet was also full of praise for fellow dancer Ed Balls, who recently sent her a flirty text which read: 'I’m available to rub your ankle anytime you want, Laura.'
Laughing off claims he was the 'novelty act' of the series, she reasoned: 'There's no novelty act! Everyone is really good this year, everyone can dance.'

Proving the claim, she added that Ed had single-handedly taught her the group routine last week, after she was forced to miss rehearsals with her injury.
Laura also revealed that she had experience a range of emotions during her time on the show, as she admitted: 'I've never put myself in a vulnerable situation - you're a bit exposed.
'It's much more than a dance show, I've learnt stuff about myself and I cry all the time! It's very emotional.'

Whilst she may have been kept busy with the dance show, Laura ensured she squeezed in some time to help with Very's Christmas campaign.
Discussing the premise, she explained: 'It's lovely, I love Christmas! It has a heartwarming feel, where giving is more important than getting a gift.'
