Kim Kardashian 'hires three off-duty police officers for security at Kendall Jenner's birthday party' after firing long-time bodyguard

Kim Kardashian attended her sister Kendall Jenner's milestone 21st birthday party surrounded by security detail.

TMZ reports that the reality star, 36, paid three off-duty police officers around $100 an hour to watch over her for the night.

The party comes just as it has emerged that Kim and her husband Kanye West have reportedly let go of their long-time bodyguard, Pascal Duvier.

Kim entered Catch LA, the restaurant where her sister's party took place, via a private entrance with her security team in tow.

The star dressed down for the evening, and she was seen during the night without any jewelry on, adds the website.

Kim's sisters were joined by their own personal security guards.

The reality star's camera crew for Keeping Up With The Kardashians were also present that night to record the party for the show.

Birthday girl: Kendall Jenner arrived to LA hotspot Delilah on Wednesday

Wednesday night saw the Kardashians head to hotpots Catch LA and Delilah to celebrate Kendall's big birthday.

On October 3, Kim was left fearing for her life when a five-men gang broke into her room at Hôtel de Pourtalès in Paris, France, waved a gun in her face, gagged her and tied her up in the bathroom while they raided her drawers and made off with her lavish jewellery worth an estimated $8.5 million.

At the time of the robbery, Kim's longtime bodyguard, Pascal, was out at a Paris nightclub providing protection for her siblings Kourtney and Kendall, leaving the mother-of-two alone in her bedroom with no bodyguard when the men broke in.

Kim and Kanye have now reportedly made the decision to part ways with Pascal.

Entertainment Tonight spoke with two sources who each claim that the Kardashian-West family made the 'tough decision' to let Pascal go, four years after he first started working with Kanye.

In the aftermath of the robbery, both Kim and Kanye seemed to show their support for Pascal, who stayed on as their bodyguard and was seen protecting the couple in New York City immediately after the robbery.

It was not just Pascal whose employment was terminated by the Kardashian-West family either, according to another source.

'Pascal, along with a couple other security members of their team, were recently let go by Kim and Kanye,' said the individual.

'It's a pretty tough situation overall and they love Pascal, but they couldn't take any more chances.'
