- For years property has stood abandoned and is known as the 'Hoarder House'
- Photographer Leland Kent has captured a unique glimpse of the time-capsule home
These are the eerie images of a house in Utica, Mississippi which was built for $4,000 two years after the end of the American Civil War.
The historic 5,000 square foot property was built by a wealthy businessman and farmer in 1876 and sold to his wife in 1911 for $5,300.
She sold the home following the Wall Street Crash in 1929 for $6,500, however the new owner couldn’t keep up the repayments on the loan and it was foreclosed in 1937.
In 1943, the house was sold again and remains in the same family, however since the 1980s it has lain abandoned, slowly being taken over by nature.
The amazing images were captured by US photographer Leland Kent.
