Smiling Johnny Depp looks relaxed and happy as he's honored at charity fundraiser in Los Angeles

Johnny Depp was honored at a charity concert in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star was presented with the Rhonda's Kiss Healing And Hope Award at the event that raises money to support the needs of cancer patients.

He also autographed one of his Signature Duesenberg Alliance Series guitars that was then auctioned off in aid of Rhonda's Kiss nonprofit organization.

The Hollywood star, 53,  wore a dark three-piece suit and a pair of purple lens glasses.

His short hair was neatly styled and he sported a neatly trimmed goatee.

Johnny  looked well and happy as he waved to fans while giving his acceptance speech.

While Johnny is an accomplished guitar player and tours with Hollywood Vampires, he took a night off from performing.

Instead, artists Dave Navarro and Mark McGrath along with actress Juliette Lewis took to the stage at the El Rey Theatre to entertain the crowd.

Weezer were also scheduled to perform.
