A toddler causes havoc when she is left by herself with her baby sister and some talcum powder.

Three-year-old Esmé and her 16-month-old sister Bibi were playing in their bedroom in Liverpool.

But when their mother Kerry Jane  hears them giggling she realises something must be up and goes to investigate.

When Kerry Jane goes to investigate she find Esmé putting something back on a shelf (pictured left) and both her children covered in talcum powder (pictured right)

When she enters their room she is greeted by two children completely covered in talc and Esmé tries to pin the entire incident on her little sister.

Bibi, who is trapped in her cot, does not look impressed by being completely covered in power and starts to cry.

Esmé insists her sister did it all to herself.

She says: 'I'm playing with Bibi.' Her mum asks who covered Bibi in the talc and a smiling Esmé replies, 'Bibi'.

Kerry Jane said: 'I was in my bedroom putting washing away and ironing for about five minutes.

'I could hear them both giggling so I knew they were OK. I carried on with ironing.

When asked, Esmé insists her sister  herself covered herself in talc. Bibi, who is trapped in her cot, does not look impressed by being completely covered in power and starts to cry (pictured right)

'When I came out the room with my phone on record this was the outcome.

When I asked Esmé what happened she pointed the finger at Bibi.'
