Kristen Stewart goes back to brunette and flashes an uncharacteristically broad grin after making her first public appearance with girlfriend St. Vincent

She previously revealed that she doesn't like to smile for photographers to avoid playing up to the cameras.

But Kristen Stewart couldn't stop grinning as she stepped out in Paris on Wednesday. 

No doubt rejoicing the return to her brunette roots and the public announcement of her new relationship, the 26-year-old actress seemed in great spirits as she headed to film a segment on the C a Vous show in the French capital.

Nailing Parisian chic for her televised appearance, the BAFTA winner donned a striped monochrome top that she teamed with a cream bomber jacket. 

Adding another splash of colour she slipped her slim pins into a pair of sparkling red trousers, whilst she was poised to slip her casual white trainers for a pair of black Louboutin pumps. 

Wearing her freshly dyed locks slicked back after a period of living as a blonde, the brunette bombshell finished off the look by lining her peepers with a sweep of bronze eye shadow.

Whilst Kristen is famed for her typically sombre expression, it was no surprise the Twilight star couldn't keep the smile off her face. 

Last week, the normally shy star made her first public outing with girlfriend St. Vincent after a month of dating.   

She brought the musician, 34, as her plus one to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show and Tea event and the couple proudly walked the red carpet together.

The pair were first spotted together in late August, but kept tight-lipped about the nature of their relationship.  

However, Us Weekly reported that the Snow White actress and songstress are officially dating, with an insider admitting: 'It's been very romantic.'

The news came as a shock to fans of both stars - who had both been in committed relationships just weeks before.

Only a month had passes since St. Vincent - real name Anne Clark - announced she and former flame Cara Delevingne had decided to go their separate ways due to their hectic schedules. 

Meanwhile, Kristen had also insisted she was head over heels with on/off girlfriend Alicia Cargile.

The Twilight star - who came out as bisexual in July - told Elle magazine at the time: 'I'm just really in love with my girlfriend. 

'We've broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and this time I was like: "Finally, I can feel again."'
