'There are days when I'm crying!': Kelly Clarkson confesses juggling a singing career and two kids brings on 'mom guilt' and stress

She became a stepmother in October 2013 and had her first child the following June. 

And since becoming a mum, Kelly Clarkson admitted how difficult the role can be, thanks to the great responsibility that comes with it, she told People.

The 34-year-old Grammy winner also discussed the 'mom guilt' she feels because of the help she's able to receive in raising her children.

When asked by what parenthood life is like, the singer summed it up in one word: 'Hard!'

'You have to juggle everything,' she noted. 'While I love music, my family comes first. 

'There are days where s*** hits the fan, and I'm crying because there's not enough time to do everything. But that's any mom. It's a hard thing to take care of children. You're molding lives. You don't want to suck at it.'

The Moment Like This songstress also admitted to 'mom guilt.'

'I'm bad at time management. I definitely feel mom guilt a lot. I think every good mom does, right?,' said the Citizen ambassador.

'I think I have mom guilt too because my mom didn't have help and I have help. I feel like, "Why can't I do it all?" But you can't. That's dumb.'

In 2014, Kelly gave birth to her first child, daughter River Rose two, and had son Remington in April of this year. 

Prior to her daughter's arrival, Kelly became a stepmum when she married husband Brandon Blackstock, 39. 

The ex-stepson of Reba McEntire has daughter Savannah and son Seth from his marriage to ex-wife Melissa Ashworth White.

Life's truly a full-house for Kelly, who's step children are homeschooled. 

'The older ones are homeschooled. So everybody is always in the house. It's a really busy, busy household.'

So it comes as no surprise that the River Rose and the Magical Lullaby author's favourite time of day is 9 p.m., when it's bedtime for her children. 

'That's when all our kids are in bed! Every night we [she and Brandon] have a date night that starts at 9:30. We live on the river, so we site outside and unwind. It's our favorite part.'
