'Bunch of bull s***!' Miranda Lambert lambastes trolls who attacked picture of her with boyfriend Anderson East

Miranda Lambert has hit back at internet trolls who abused a picture of her with boyfriend Anderson East.

The country singer took aim at 'judgmental and negative' comments, denouncing them as 'a bunch of bull s***.'

She posted her lengthy diatribe alongside a photo of herself riding a horse through her 400-acre farm south of Nashville.

It came after the 32-year-old posted a photo of herself and 28-year-old East on the red carpet at the CMA Awards.

'Cowardly people hiding behind a keyboard': On Thursday, Miranda Lambert posted a 'really personal' Instagram photo of herself horseback riding and, at great length, denounced 'judgmental and negative' comments she'd gotten online

She griped: 'Just now when I looked I realized so many comments were judgmental and negative.

'Cowardly people hiding behind a keyboard or a cell phone writing their useless comments about our eyes and clothes and body language.'

The ex-Mrs Blake Shelton continued: 'Thank y'all for reminding me why I read books , write songs, and spend most of my time with animals and people I trust and love.'

Her closer was a quote from Maya Angelou, which the poet had delivered on an episode of Oprah's Master Class: '"Words are things. You must be careful, careful about calling people out of their names, using racial pejoratives and sexual pejoratives and all that ignorance."'

Area of origin: She'd been referring to the response to an Instagram photo she'd uploaded of herself and her boyfriend Anderson East at the CMA Awards in Nashville

Guest of honour: The 32-year-old had been nominated for Female Vocalist Of The Year, ultimately losing to Carrie Underwood, who'd hostessed the Wednesday night event

Angelou continued in Lambert's quotation: '"Don’t do that. Some day we’ll be able to measure the power of words. I think they are things. They get on the walls. They get in your wallpaper. They get in your rugs, in your upholstery, and your clothes, and finally in to you."'

At the CMA Awards Wednesday, Lambert had been nominated for Female Vocalist Of The Year, ultimately losing to Carrie Underwood, who'd hostessed the event.

That night, after the award show, the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend singer swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and took a far more sanguine approach to her online detractors.

During his Mean Tweets segment, she'd grinned and read aloud: 'In case of a national emergency, all air traffic will be redirected to Miranda Lambert's forehead,' by user @deleco31.

A different approach: After the award show, she'd swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live! that night and participated in his comedic Mean Tweets segment
