He told host Kirsty Young, 47, getting married and having children 'changed my life'.
The four-time Grammy award winner said: 'It's incredibly difficult – every biographical movie I watch about a singer, it's the same story: man comes from nothing, man fights for fame, man finds success, man leaves his family, man regrets leaving family, and I won't allow that to happen.
'I will fight for balance, and if one suffers, we know which one will go – it won't be my kids. I just love them way too much.'
In a poignant section of the interview, Bublé admits he often catches bugs and colds from the time he spends with his family - much to the annoyance of his manager.
Bublé, pictured with his wife Luisana and children Noah and Eliah, told Kirsty Young that married life and becoming a father has changed his life for the good
He said: 'If you have kids you know it's like a petri dish for infections and colds… I will take getting sick a million times over to get those kisses I need those kisses. They're my fuel.'
During the Desert Island Discs show, the married father-of-two admitted he struggled with his success after getting a record deal in his 20s.
'I regret the way I treated a lot of my family and myself,' he said.
'I was reckless with hearts. But I got my karma.'
For his book, he selected a self-help guide, saying: 'On a desert island I would be dead within a moment.'
