'She's a worldly person!': Lindsay Lohan's mother explains star's new bizarre accent is the result of learning many languages at once

Lindsay Lohan spoke in an odd new accent when being interviewed in Greece last month. The video clip caused a frenzy when it was shared on Tuesday.

Lindsay herself told DailyMail.com that her new sound is just the result of learning so many languages at once, and her mother backed that up on Thursday when she talked to Entertainment Tonight.

'She is a worldly person, that is what makes her so special and so beautiful,' said Dina. 'She taught herself to speak French, Arabic, Hebrew and the list goes on. She has a very high IQ and is very intelligent and can pick up any language in a minute. She has that gift.'

Odd: Lindsay Lohan spoke in a weird accent in Greece recently. It sounded like a mashup of French, Greek and British accents

Her mom explains: 'She is a worldly person, that is what makes her so special and so beautiful,' said Dina, seen here in October in NYC

Her father Michael also spoke about the new sound.

'Lindsay picks up languages like I pick up a coffee,' he said.

'I will tell you this. She has spoken other languages to me on the phone. Languages I don't understand. I'll be on the phone with her and I'll hear her say something in fluent Farsi to a friend she's with.'

Lohan recently posted on Snapchat, urging her fans not to focus on her new accent

Make like Lindsay in a midi dress by Lavish Alice

She might be confusing fans with her new accent, but when it comes to style, she's still the same old Lindsay Lohan!

The actress was pictured out and about in London wearing an abstract printed dress which featured an on trend cut out choker neckline. And the good news is that whilst LiLo's wardrobe is full of designer labels like Givenchy, Fendi and Saint Laurent, this is actually a very budget-friendly dress!

It's by Lavish Alice, the brand that she teamed up with a little while ago to create her very own collection. The midi length is super flattering, and when teamed with over the knee boots, it's a great look. Click the link (right) to buy it now.

The former reality star said that Lindsay is healthy and happy.

When Lindsay spoke to DailyMail.com she said: 'It's a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn.'

And for those wondering at home, the pop culture icon is well on her way to knowing six languages fluently.

Sound evolution: As to why she does not sound like the Lindsay we have known since childhood, the Mean Girls star joked, 'Je ne sais pas.' The star is seen here at the opening of her Greek club last month - where her new accent was caught on tape

'I've been learning different languages since I was a child. I'm fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic.'

After video of Lindsay speaking outside her Greek club opening last month emerged on Tuesday, the internet has been wild with speculation over just what Lindsay's new sound was.

While some fans claimed it was a mix of everything from Australian with Turkish to Greek with Saudi Arabian, Lindsay joked on Twitter with the DailyMail.com that her accent should have its own name.

Pretty polyglot: While she may claim to not know - in French, of course - the now-London based actress put it down thirst for leaning languages, but not doubt her trans-European lifestyle also is partially to blame

Fluent in LilLohan: While some fans claimed it was a mix of everything from Australian with Turkish to Greek with Saudi Arabian, Lindsay joked on Twitter with the DailyMail.com that her accent should have its own name

The actress tweeted: '@DailyMailUK what should I call me new accent? I'm thinking #LILLOHAN.'

The star now wants fans to have their say over what her new twang shall be called.

'We should let the people decide,' she told the DailyMail.com.

Not shocked: As for all the attention her new accent was getting, the famed-redhead was unperturbed, 'Nothing really shocks me these days. I moved to London for years ago and the taxes seem to be getting higher'

What started it all: Lindsay and her accent all became a trending topic after video from her Club Lohan opening in mid-October surfaced and her well known American accent and husky tone was very different

As for all the attention her new accent was getting, the famed-redhead said was not shocked by it.

'Nothing really shocks me these days. I moved to London four years ago and the taxes seem to be getting higher.'

Lindsay and her accent all became a trending topic after video from her Club Lohan opening in mid-October surfaced.

Spooky fun: The 30-year-old meanwhile celebrated at Fran Cutler's Halloween Party on Monday

In the video, the actress told local reporters of her hopes for her club and also sought to clarify her relationship with business partner Dennis Papageorgi.

But, as she did, her well known American accent and husky tone was very different.

The star told reporters of why she opened the club: 'I said maybe there is something for me to do more here so I have a reason to come back.

'My first time coming to Athens with Dennis, my friend, and that's all he is my friend and business partner! But his mother became a very close person to me and his sister as well... When I went through hardships with my ex I really found ''good family'' in these people from Greece.'

Lindsay went on to discuss her work with refugees after visiting Turkey last year.

She said: 'Just as I did in Turkey with refugees. So where people are scared of refugees and everything in the world, there's a minimum, there's a line of where we can make happiness and shine a light in every situation that is bad and make it good.

'Whereas in the past I've been associated with nightclubs and clubbing I said why not do my own and make it a good place. Where there's bad things happening in the world we can focus on the bad things and fix them with the club we can create charity with the club.'

Move over Margot Robbie: The actress transformed herself into a very sexy Harley Quinn
