Hard to miss: Lady Gaga, 30, caught the attention of all on Sunday in a bizarre tulle crop top and skirt co-ord as she headed home from Narita International Airport in Japan

The singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, clad herself in one of her most out-there ensembles yet for her journey out of Japan.

Formed of a chunky crop top and full skirt, the outfit was made of thick layers of grey and white tulle which were scrunched tightly to create an almost fluffy effect.

The top covered her entire frame at the top, while the skirt then extended into pale pink mesh above the rumpled hem, adding a sexier element to the kooky look by revealing a skimpy pink leotard underneath.

Sheer craziness: The top covered her entire frame at the top, while the skirt then extended into pale pink mesh above the rumpled hem

The sheer layer cinched in at her shapely waist before flowing out into the wide skirt, which was given structure by ribbed pink satin stripes.

Turning to pose for the cameras at several angles, it then appeared that a part of the outfit had become dislodged - with a matching baby pink bodice hanging across her derriere at an awkward angle.

Making the outfit even more striking, the Bad Romance songstress paired the flouncy dress with a pair of chunky black biker boots, which laced up the ankle.

Going all out: Adding one last touch, the jazz singer emblazoned her hat with a red, white and blue 'Vote' badge to encourage her fans to partake in the Presidential election

Adding one last finishing touch, the jazz singer emblazoned her hat with a red, white and blue 'Vote' badge to encourage her fans to partake in Tuesday's Presidential election - something she has been advocating regularly on social media.

Referring to the famous Trump-Clinton battle, the star posted a side profile of her outfit on her Instagram for fans, which she captioned: 'In times of stress I like to be fashionable.'

The star arrived in Tokyo to promote her new album Joanne on Tuesday night, to an array of waiting fans.

She gushed on Twitter: 'So many gorgeous Japanese Angels at the airport waiting for me! I love your joyful SPIRIT! We're back monsters! Get ready for #JOANNE.'

Stylish bird: She also added a large white feather to the back of the hat for even more volume

Popular: The star was surrounded by fans as she made her way through the airport, mirroring her arrival which saw hundreds of admirers greet her at the arrival gate on Tuesday

'I am so grateful to have the #1 Album in Japan for the 2nd week in a row,' she added.

'Can't wait to tell you the story of #JOANNE.'

The star's album, which is her fifth studio record, is named after her late aunt who died aged just 19 from Lupus.

Not only finding recent success in her music career, with album reaching number one in the US and Japan and the top 10 in multiple other countries, the star may also be set for stardom on the screen.

According to Us Weekly, the pop singer will be playing designer Donnatella Versace on the third series of American Crime Story.

Last month, Variety reported that the series will relate the murder of Donatella's elder brother Gianni Versace, who founded the eponymous fashion house.

Hats off to you: Not only finding recent success in music with Joanne reaching number one in the US and Japan, the star may also be set for stardom on the screen after she was rumoured to be playing Donnatella Versace in an upcoming TV series
