The Dutch royals were greeted with a downpour on the first day of their state visit to New Zealand.
King Willem-Alexander and his wife Queen Maxima of The Netherlands were officially welcomed at Government House in Wellington, where they greeted waiting royal enthusiasts in the rain.
The Queen stayed dry under a clear umbrella, while Willem-Alexander braced the elements to walk beside his wife.

All smiles: The couple are embarking on a three-day state visit of the country that includes visits to Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland
The couple travelled to New Zealand from Australia where they just wrapped-up their state visit.
They were officially welcomed to New Zealand with a ceremony at Government House, Wellington, that included the traditional Maori haka powhiri, a dance of welcome, and Hongi greeting, in which people press their noses together.
They went on to visit the National War Memorial, where they laid a wreath before bowing their heads in a minute of silence.

Maxima, 45, wore a large black hat and black poncho for the occasion.
Underneath she wore a Givenchy dress in a green leopard print, a dress she previously wore to attend a conference in Buenos Aires earlier this year.
She finished the look with pearl-drop earrings, open-toe black pumps and black leather gloves.

They also met with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key.
