Scott Disick used to have a high standing in the Kardashian/Jenner family.

But it appears there is another reality star slowly taking his place.

Kim Kardashian's long-time best friend Jonathan Cheban has been taking a bigger role in the family, even popping up more often on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and, most tellingly, escorting Kourtney Kardashian to events.

That's exactly what the former publicist did on Friday.

He was with Kourtney as she walked into Catch in Los Angeles where Kris Jenner was having her 61st birthday party.

Jonathan even took the time to wish the momager a happy 61st birthday on Snapchat.

They go back a decade: The New York native with Kim Kardashian in June

Earlier in the day Cheban was seen at Scott's favorite haunt - Il Pastaio - in what can only be confirmation he is deep in Lord Disick territory.

Il Pastaio is a small but upscale Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills where Scott has been enjoying al fresco lunches for nearly a decade.

He often takes Kendall Jenner there when they film Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Most interesting is Cheban's close relationship with Kourtney.

He not only took her to Kris' birthday party. He escorted the single siren to Kanye West's concert and also to lunch in Calabasas days earlier.

Cheban recently ended his relationship with beauty Anat Popovsky and has since been dating models.

On his own path: Scott headed back to Las Vegas just before Halloween to host a night at 1OAK. He didn't appear to be with his three kids - Mason, Penelope and Reign - on Halloween day and was most likely resting

And in another sign he is being leaned on more heavily by the famous clan, Cheban also showed up several times to lighten the mood on the spinoff Rob & Chyna.

Meanwhile, Scott headed to Las Vegas just before Halloween to host a night at 1OAK.

He didn't appear to be with his three kids - Mason, Penelope and Reign - on Halloween day and was most likely resting.

Rather, the next day he dressed up as Captain America to have fun with Kourt (who has been linked to Justin Bieber and others) and the children.
