SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: A month old, but Sir Tim Rice's daughter still hasn't met her Daddy

Lyrical lothario Sir Tim Rice won an Oscar for co-writing the song Can You Feel The Love Tonight for Disney’s film The Lion King, but there seems to be no love lost between him and Laura-Jane Foley, the mother of his youngest child, Charlotte, born last month.

Clad in a wine-coloured velvet coat, black boots and blue jeans, accessorised with sunglasses and a gold necklace, playwright Foley, 34, has been spotted pushing her daughter in a £730 Silver Cross pram (far right). She was also carrying a £760 black love heart shaped handbag from Saint Laurent.

But 71-year-old Sir Tim is reportedly yet to meet the four-week-old, although he plans to provide for her financially.

Given Sir Tim’s fortune of an estimated £150m, baby Charlotte, who was conceived during her parents’ brief dalliance, is unlikely ever to have to sing for her supper.

Stretched thing? Multi-task life flexible Ms Beckinsale!

If there were Oscars for showing off on social media, actress Kate Beckinsale would sweep the board. The 43-year-old daughter of late Porridge star Richard Beckinsale, who split with her film director husband Len Wiseman last year, posted this picture of herself at the weekend waiting ‘for the dishwasher to finish rinse cycle’.

Wearing just a sports bra and leggings, former Oxford student Kate was simultaneously reading Ian McEwan’s latest novel, Nutshell, while performing what appeared to be a ballet pose, with one leg planted firmly on the floor and the other stretched out behind her. Bravo.

Camilla cherry picks a quirky new clutch bag

The Queen is so fond of Launer’s distinctive £1,550 leather handbags that she is said to own more than 200 of them. Our future queen Camilla prefers a more quirky selection.

Yesterday the Duchess of Cornwall carried a £105 Kayu woven straw envelope clutch bag covered in a cherry print during her visit to the United Arab Emirates.

It was just the latest in a colourful selection sported by Camilla, who once took a sequined clutch shaped like a tin of Heinz beans to a charity event in Chelsea. On another occasion, she sported a bag embroidered with a First Class stamp, complete with the Queen’s head.

Crimpers often claim a new hairstyle can make you look younger. But Mayfair stylist Nicky Clarke admits he needs to take more drastic measures. ‘Look at my face — it’s going a bit craggy,’ he wailed at The Ivy Chelsea Garden Guy Fawkes Party. ‘I need Botox. I’m finally going to do it, although I must admit I hate the idea of sticking needles in my face.’ Clarke, 58, is courting Kelly Simpkin, 30, a former receptionist at his salon. He adds: ‘I’m heading towards 60 and want to stay looking young.’

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School Of Rock does not open in the West End until next week, but he’s staging a special preview tonight for the Miles Frost Fund in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Jeremy Clarkson and the Duchess of York are among those expected to attend the show, held by the fund set up after broadcaster Sir David Frost’s son Miles died suddenly from a cardiac arrest in 2013, aged 31. Oscar-winner Sir Michael Caine tells me: ‘The fund is a remarkable response by the Frost family to a truly tragic event.’
