As scenes aired of her declaring her marriage to George Kay was over last week, the reality is quite different.

And according to new reports, the 36-year-old mother-of-five is going as far as to renew her wedding vows to the father of her youngest child.

Wedding bells again? Kerry Katona is reportedly planning to renew her vows to George Kay

A source told The Mirror: 'They've had their ups and downs so they're not going to rush into it, but next year they want to cement their feelings for each other with a blessing and renewal of their vows.

'Because of their difficult past together, they are really focussing on being good for each other right now.

'Kerry is already getting excited about another wedding though. She is in such amazing shape and has had lipo, and is now training and looking after her figure – partially in preparation for the big day.'

Meanwhile Kerry has admitted she avoided watching her interview with celebrity therapist Mandy Saligari.

'Because of their difficult past together, they are really focussing on being good for each other right now', the mother-of-five, 36 is prepared to try again

The scenes were filmed while former Warrington Wolves rugby player George was awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting her, as well as being in possession of a banned weapon- charges he was later acquitted of.

During the emotional TV therapy session Kerry, who is mother to Molly, 14, and Lilly Sue, 13, from her marriage to Brian McFadden, Heidi, nine, and Maxwell, eight, from her marriage to cab driver Mark Croft, and Dylan Jorge, two with George, admitted the household was calmer without him.

She said at the time: 'I don't think I would be comfortable with my husband coming back. It's like an epiphany. It's just dawned on me that there is no drama at home and everyone is relaxed.'

However speaking to Holly Willoughby and Ben Shephard last week, she explained: 'We won't be watching the show,' adding: 'George and I are in a good place.'

'I'm giving my marriage another go and I'm very happy about that.'

MailOnline has contacted Kerry's representative for comment.

The pair first sparked reconciliation rumours in August, when they were spotted out together with their daughter Dylan Jorge.

Their outing came as a source told Closer magazine: 'Kerry was torn over whether to take George back, and tried moving on, but she’s gradually telling friends they’ve grown close again and she can’t live without him.

'She’s agreed to forgive him for all the drama in the past and is determined to make their relationship work. She says he’s the only man who makes her happy.'

United front: The pair first sparked reconciliation rumours in August following their initial split in October 2015 following an alleged domestic bust-up

George - who was previously banned from visiting Kerry's family home under a restraining order - is also said to be spending the majority of his time in her house.

Kerry split from her husband of 13 months in October 2015 and a month later appeared in court accused of beating her up at their home, after allegedly arming himself with a Taser-style device and a knife.

However, George was formerly acquitted of an assault charge and of possessing a stun gun last month after Kerry withdrew her statement.

He was due to face trial, but prosecutors at Lewes Crown Court revealed that they didn't have enough evidence to secure a conviction.

'We won't be watching the show. George and I are in a good place,' Kerry said on This Morning as scenes of her declaring her marriage was over were aired on show In Therapy
