The big-winged Honda Civic Type R is a resoundingly unapologetic hot hatchback - but is it too extreme to use every day?
The Civic Type R has had plenty of plaudits for its properly rambunctious attitude - it's like a touring car racer that's been slightly civilised for the public highway. But is that too much to live with day-in day-out? We spent a week behind the wheel to see if it's a step too far for family motoring.

The last time London suffered such a heavy weekly loss was at the start of 2016 with a 5.3 per cent fall in its worst ever opening to the year. House prices will rise by more than £50,000 in some areas over the next five years, Savills forecast, as it mapped out potential property gains across the UK. The typical value of a home across the country will rise 13 per cent by the end of 2021. However, the biggest monetary gain is tipped for the South East, where higher prices combined with a larger percentage increase led to a forecast rise of £53,200 over five years.

European Commission to check that Nissan's Sunderland deal was legitimate and involved no 'sweeteners'
Nissan said last month it would build the next generation of the Qashqai in Sunderland as well as the next X-Trail - following a meeting between Nissan chief executive Carlos Ghosn and Prime Minister Theresa May. Nissan had publicly fretted over whether the UK's departure from the European Union would see it hit with tariffs both on its car exports and supply chain. The EC's competition authorities have wide-ranging powers to stop governments subsidising companies or industries.
Sports Direct hopes to pay MORE tax in the UK as boss Ashley wants to stop liaising with overseas authorities
The case relates to the overseas sale of goods from its website on which it charges and pays millions of pounds in VAT. EU rules require Sports Direct and other firms to pay VAT in dozens of member states, based on where shoppers are when making purchases. But Sports Direct believes it has developed a structure that would allow it to simplify the complex tax requirements and instead switch to paying more VAT in the UK.

My worry is what could happen if he gets into debt. Say, for example, he fails to pay his mobile phone contract and, ultimately, (if demands are ignored) this leads to court enforcement officers turning up to demand payment.
