Not enough Gs for Honey: Controversial X Factor act 'unable to pay £1,000 debt after business goes bust' while she pursues her rap dream
She’s the self-styled rapper with a penchant for jaunty baseball caps, colourful shell suits and frequently questionable interpretations of mainstream hip hop classics.
But while Honey G continues to entertain fans with her weekly performances on long running talent show The X Factor, the recruitment agency she left behind in order to pursue her rap dream has reportedly gone bust, owing thousands to creditors.
The Sunday People claim Honey - real name Anna Georgette Gilford – hired Yorkshire based company Intelligent Business Transfer to sell five-year old agency ARG Search in July, shortly after auditions for the thirteenth series of the ITV show got underway.

Trouble brewing: While Honey G continues to entertain fans with her weekly performances on long running talent show The X Factor, the recruitment agency she left behind in order to pursue her rap dream has reportedly gone bust, owing thousands to creditors
She is thought to have agreed an initial £1,000 payment followed by a further £6,000 in commission should they sell the company, reportedly valued by the performer at £499,000 with a £520,000 turnover and net profit of £52,000.
But the firm are now chasing North-West London based Honey, 35, for £1,000 in initial advertising costs.
A source explained: ‘They were really miffed as they acted in good faith and did work on her behalf, leading them to believe she had a successful business worth selling.

‘She never told them about The X Factor and disappeared for the summer, leaving them to work for her for no money.’
In an email reportedly received by Intelligent Business Transfer in October and obtained by the Sunday People, Honey claimed she was unable to pay the debt due to company becoming insolvent.
‘I have no assets and no money in the company. I cannot afford to pay your bill,’ it continues. ‘I have also taken indefinite leave from my business to compete in the live finals of X Factor.

‘I’m looking now to leave my business and pursue a full time career as a rap music artist. Sorry.’
A source close to Honey said: 'Honey took advice on the valuation of her company as she is not qualified to value it herself.
'Since then the company has decreased in value as it has lost contractors and is no longer trading.
'Any remaining funds were used to pay debts, tax and bills and she has no remaining funds to pay off outstanding creditors.'
While Honey hopes to forge a career in the music industry, her performances have divided viewers - amongst them pop star Lily Allen, who claims her performances are ‘offensive’ to black people.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Honey said: ‘She obviously has not done her homework. It’s offensive when people call me a joke act as I have been a musician my whole life. I’m a heavyweight producer.’
She also insisted that she has not deliberately cultivated her working-class stage accent.
She said: ‘I spent a lot of time when I was younger on the underground club scene, and started going out at the age of 14 because I was tall and got in everywhere.
‘It was all totally natural and I picked up street talk and the lingo and it became part of who I am. I’m not a fake and I really want to sell millions of records and make hits.’

Show boss Simon Cowell later blasted Honey's critics, calling her 'fun and entertaining.'
'On paper this shouldn't work but once again tonight you stepped up Honey G. There are so many people getting their knickers in a twist over you, but music can be fun,' he said.
'You are fun and entertaining and you are also one of the nicest contestants we have ever had on the show.'
