She's been busy performing her latest theatre show Stepping Out around the country.

But Amanda Holden enjoyed a breakaway from the stage as she celebrated her co-star and pal, Tamzin Outhwaite's 46th birthday in style, punting on the River Cam in Cambridge on Saturday.

The Britain's Got Talent judge looked in her element as she enjoyed a selfie with the birthday girl as they passed King's College wrapped up in a number of blankets.

Braving the freezing temperatures, the 45-year-old TV star appeared in high spirits as she donned a quilted navy SuperDry jacket with fur trim that was sure to ease the November chill while out on the water.

The mum-of-two - who is married to sported a beige polo neck under her duvet-esque coat as she slipped on a pair of khaki denim jeans and knee-high boots for the outing.

Leaving her golden locks loose, Amanda hid her facial features with a pair of simple gold Ray-Ban aviators as she was spotted with an occasion appropriate birthday cake.

Cutting the bake, Amanda couldn't help but giggle as they attempted to steadily separate the luxury chocolate Patisserie Valerie cake evenly.

Their boat trip comes as the group have been performing Stepping Out at the Cambridge Arts Theatre since Monday, with Saturday being their final night at the venue.

The cast includes Angela Griffin, former EastEnders star Tracy-Ann Oberman and Emmerdale's Nicola Stephenson.

Amanda plays Vera in the theatre show while Tamzin has been on tour for nearly a month with the play, which is hitting the West End next year.
