Behind closed doors: New reports have claimed Mariah Carey's parenting style is to blame for her recent split with Australian billionaire James Packer

'They clashed over how she raised her twins,' an unnamed source told the publication.

'He [James] just couldn't handle her kids - they were pretty bratty compared to his three [Emmanuelle, four, Jackson, six and Indigo, eight] with Erica, who's a fantastic mum.'

A spokesperson for James told Daily Mail Australia on Monday: 'The claims are absolutely untrue and ridiculous.'

The latest allegations comes after Woman's Day reported, the casino don dumped the pop-star over her 'extravagant spending'.

On Saturday, details from a draft of Mariah and James' unsigned prenup reportedly emerged, revealing a list of strict stipulations.

The document, which apparently was put together by James's executive Robert Rankin and subsequently leaked to TMZ, showed the Australian businessman wanted to pay the singer $6million for every full year of marriage up to a total of $30million, should they split.

It read: 'James will pay Mariah, and Mariah shall accept, $6 million dollars per year for each full year of marriage, up to a maximum of $30 million...adjusted pro-rata on a weekly basis [$151,385 per week].'

The prenup also stated Mariah would have to return any gifts he gave her during their marriage unless he signed a note to instruct otherwise.

It's also been alleged Mariah was keen to receive a $50million sum if the pair separated.

She is also still wearing her $10million engagement ring and plans to keep it, sources have told media outlets.

It has also been reported by TMZ that Mariah expects James to pay out the remainder of the lease on their shared Calabasas home in California and cover the costs of her next move.

The couple's split was announced late last month after they became engaged in January following a whirlwind seven month romance.

According to reports, they split after a blazing row on board the billionaire’s yacht in Greece in September. It was also claimed James was left furious by her 'rendezvous' with a back-up dancer in Las Vegas.

Reports have suggested Scientology played a part in the split as well as Mariah's apparent refusal to attend her fiancé's sister's 50th birthday celebrations in Sydney last month.

Last week, Mariah claimed their relationship was ‘poisoned’ by James' business manager Tommy Davis, who was once the Scientology church’s official spokesman.

James was a Scientologist for four years in 2006 after being introduced to the religion by Tom Cruise but then disconnected from the church.

A source told Page Six: 'In September, James suddenly seemed not like himself at all.

'Mariah is suspicious of Tommy, who has been managing James’ finances, and she suspects he is controlling him,' claims which sources close to James deny.
