Still best friends! Wonder Years stars Fred Savage and Josh Saviano reunite for New York Rangers hockey game

Fred Savage and Josh Saviano played best friends on the hit show The Wonder Years from 1988 to 1993. 

And the actors reunited in the name of hockey as they watched the New York Rangers beat the Winnipeg Jets at Madison Square Garden in NYC on Sunday.  

Fred and Josh, who are both now 40-years-old, looked as close as ever as they bonded while taking selfies and cheering on the Rangers.

The actors even received cheers of their own from other fans as the GardenVision screen captured the stars sitting together in the stands. 

They both sported New York jerseys and looked equally as thrilled to be featured on the big screen in the arena.

Fred managed to get a picture of the moment and shared it to Instagram with the caption: 'Jumbotron game on point.'

Fred pointed at the screen and grabbed Josh by the shoulders pulling him in for an embrace.

Meanwhile, Josh clapped and waved, which provided plenty of picturesque reunion moments for Wonder Years fans.  

Despite Fred's famous curls, the child stars looked all grown up. 

Fred and Josh both now have children of their own and are married, and their wedding rings could be seen as they clapped ecstatically when they were featured on the Jumbotron.

The New York Rangers official Instagram account also shared a video of the moment, which received over 56,000 views, and was humorously captioned: 'Savage Garden.'

The social media post showed the Jumbotron which featured a clip of a young Fred from The Wonder Years and the crowd erupted as the fan finder simultaneously zoomed into Fred and Josh sitting in the stands.

After the New York Rangers defeated the Winnipeg Jets five to two, the privileged pair posed for a photo on the ice. 

Josh took to Instagram captioning the photo: 'You know it's a good night at a @nyrangers game when @thefredsavage and I end up in the net #epicnight.'

Josh, who is currently an attorney in New York, displayed a head full of greys along with a matching scruffy beard. 

Meanwhile, Fred recently played a lawyer on FOX's The Grinder, but the series wasn't renewed for a second season. 

The father-of-two has also joined Kelly Ripa multiple times to temporarily fill the seat of her co-host on Live! With Kelly as she searches for a replacement for Michael Strahan.
