Trump said Brady, the Super Bowl MVP signal-caller whom he called a 'great friend of mine' and 'a great champion', offered his support in a phone call

Patriots' coach Bill Belichick wrote me the most beautiful letter, and it was only two hours ago. So we called back', Trump said

'He called today, and he said, 'Donald, I support you, you're my friend, and I voted for you',' the Republican presidential nominee recalled.

'And I want to tell you, this guy is a champ, and he's a winner, and he's a great person.'

'So I said, 'So Tom, you voted for me, you support me. Am I allowed to say it tonight to this massive crowd in New Hampshire?'' Trump told his supporters.

'He said, 'If you want to say it, you can say it,' okay?'

However according to a report in New York Daily News Brady told a Boston sports radio show 'The Kirk & Callahan Show' he had not voted yet as of Monday morning.

'No, I haven't voted yet,' Brady said.

Brady said he missed the Friday deadline for early voting in Massachusetts and added that the Patriots had practice Tuesday morning, but he said he intended to vote.

Last month Brady abruptly ended a press conference, after a reporter asked him a question about Trump's 'locker room talk' scandal.

Brady refused to comment on the scandal when a reporter asked him about the lewd comments on Wednesday.

Tom Brady abruptly ended a press conference last month, when he was asked a question about Donald Trump's locker room talk

'Tom, you have kids of your own - how would you respond if your kids heard Donald Trump's version of locker room talk?' one reporter asked.

Brady responded by smiling and saying 'Thank you guys, have a good day' before promptly walking off the stage.

Monday night's crowd roared at the mention of the men's names.

Trump said his aides handed him a letter form Belichick just hours earlier, while he was crisscrossing eastern swing states on his final day of campaigning.

Belichick 'wrote me the most beautiful letter, and it was only two hours ago. So we called back', he said.

'We said, 'Do you think that Mr. Trump could read that letter to the people of New Hampshire?' And he said, 'Absolutely, if you'd like, but do me a favor. Don't read that letter. Let me send one that's a little bit different'.'

Trump read aloud that second letter, which he described as 'stronger' than the first.

'Congratulations on a tremendous campaign,' it read. 'You have dealt with an unbelievable, slanted and negative media and have come out beautifully.'

Eleven thousand shouts of 'Booo!' filled the arena as rally-goers pointed to the press section.

'You've proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter,' Trump continued reading. 'Your leadership is amazing.'

Belichick praised Trump's 'toughness and perseverance' and closed by offering an unmistakable endorsement.

'Hopefully tomorrow's election results will give you the opportunity to make America great again,' the coach wrote.

He locked down the Indiana primary in the spring by rolling out legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight to sing his praises. Knight has remained a regular fixture at public rallies.

Last month retired Florida State University coach Bobby Bowden spoke on Trump's behalf, joining longtime Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz.

Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, appeared over the weekend with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, outmaneuvering Trump in Ohio.

Laser lights and fog machines turned the SNHU Arena into a fight-night scene, and Trump brought his family members on stage along with running mate Mike Pence and his wife Karen.

Ivanka Trump said from the podium that 'I know tomorrow will be another great day, and then we'll get to the real work of making this country great.'

Trump hinted at one other sports tie-in, praising retired Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling as a 'great guy.'

Schilling has been discussed as a potential challenger for far-left Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren – a woman whose acid tongue has done battle with Trump's all year as she has hosted events to support Clinton's candidacy.

Trump derisively refers to Warren as 'Pocahontas,' a jab at her for reportedly fabricating a Native American history in order to secure hiring advantages.

'Massachusetts is represented by Pocahontas,' Trump boomed. 'She's terrible. She is just a terrible person!'

'Clinton thinks she's doing herself a favor to use this woman as a surrogate? Everybody that watches her, they say, 'She's a terrible human being!'' he jabbed.

'You know I hear a very great baseball pitcher is going to challenge her,' he said, referring to the outspoken conservative Schilling.

'I don't know if he's going to do it but he's a great guy.

'In the Senate, everybody hates her,' Trump said, shifting gears back to trashing Warren. 'They don't want to even deal with her.'

'So I'll make you a deal: You can have Pocahontas. I'll take Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.'
