Halifax says house prices rise £3k in a month but annual growth slows

House prices rose by almost £3,000 in the month of October, but annual property inflation slowed to its lowest level in more than three years, Halifax reported today. Buyers' struggle to afford expensive homes even with mortgage rates at record lows has led to yearly growth slowing to 5.2 per cent, said Halifax.
