In awe of Thor! Shirtless and super buff Chris Hemsworth shares mesmerising video of him running along the beach

Chris Hemsworth's muscular physique wouldn't have looked out of place alongside David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson on Baywatch. 

And on Monday, the hunky actor gave us a glimpse of what it would have been like if he'd starred on the cult TV show. 

The 33-year-old uploaded a video to Instagram of him running towards the sea as he showed off his toned build.

With his ripped torso in full view, the Thor star jogs toward the water before his dog begins to chase him. 

Chris looked in great shape as he wore only a pair of black swimming shorts for his run. 

The actor uploaded the picture beside a humorous caption, quoting another man famous for his muscles, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And to clear up any confusion for followers who actually thought the star might have lost his legs, he later posted another photo accompanied by '#mylegsarefine'.

Chris's latest posts come as the Gold Coast Bulletin report that the Melbourne-native is ready to splash out more than $8 million on the renovation of his Byron Bay estate.

A development application for alterations and additions to the Seven Mile Beach Road property, which he owns with wife Elsa Pataky, was lodged to Byron Shire Council on 2 November.

Chris and his wife Elsa live in their East Coast residence with their three children, daughter, India Rose and twin sons, Tristan and Sasha. 

The publication reports that the application, which has yet to be assessed, prices the renovation at $8.778 million.

Plans for the work outline the demolition of the existing house and structures, and the building of a new swimming pool.

The Hollywood heartthrob and his Spanish-born wife purchased the Broken Head mansion in September 2014 for $7 million. 

In its current state, the house - which is spread over 4.2ha - has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. 

The couple moved back to Australia from America having sold their Malibu home for USD $4.8 million.  

Chris has recently wrapped up filming for the third Thor film, Ragnarok, which was filmed in locations across Queensland.
