'We hear and see a lot of articles or advertisements of what to do to be healthy… So I thought I'd write an article on what NOT to do,' Stephanie wrote on her website, Keep it Cleaner.

'Everyone is different - so what TO do is different for every unique individual, but what NOT to do is pretty standard for everyone.'

The natural beauty began by saying that one of her top tips is to never 'starve yourself.'

'Everyone is different': The natural beauty began by saying that one of her top tips is to never 'starve yourself'

'Don't skip meals. We need to fuel our body for energy and for it to function well, so not eating is certainly not the answer,' she wrote.

'If you're worried about calorie intake, then look at portion control, but never skip meals. Having a balanced diet of protein, fruit, veggies, fats and whole grains is essential for your body to perform at it's best.'

Stephanie said the second most important thing is to 'not aim to look exactly like someone else' as everyone is 'genetically different.'

Keep it balanced: 'Having a balanced diet of protein, fruit, veggies, fats and whole grains is essential for your body to perform at it's best,' she said

'Particularly in my industry... in the early days I found myself constantly comparing myself to other girls I was up against, and it really plays with your head,' she continued.

'It wasn't until I realised that I had to be confident in my own skin and just be the best that I could be myself, that I stopped worrying about what other people looked like.'

Stephanie also urged people to never feel like they need to cut out things they enjoy - whether it's social events or cheat meals.

WHAT IS STEPHANIE CLAIRE SMITH'S AVERAGE DAY ON A PLATE?

Breakfast: I’ve got quite a sweet tooth first thing in the morning, so I usually opt for a smoothie, an acai bowl, a quinoa or spelt porridge with berries or yoghurt, fruit and nuts.

Lunch: Lunchtime on a day off usually means catching up with a friend or having a meeting over some smashed avo on toast at a cafe. I also opt for a brekkie salad sometimes… I absolutely love poached eggs on a salad.

Snacks: If I get peckish in the afternoon before dinner then my snacks of choice are; a baked good from my ebook or website, a piece of fruit, peanut butter on a spelt or rice cracker, a smoothie or 1-2 hard boiled eggs.

Dinner: Our most regular dinners would be; a healthy pasta dish, chicken stir fry with heaps of veggies and brown rice, roast chicken with veggies or a salad of some sort.

Dessert: I always finish off the day with a piece of dark chocolate … sometimes more than one hehe… and a peppermint tea!

'Living with a healthy balanced diet does not mean never eating the things you love. I like to base my diet on the 80/20 rule,' Stephanie explained.

'If you cut out everything that you find delicious, then you will be unhappy, and happiness is essential in a healthy life. You will also be in risk of totally binging out when these certain foods are put in front of you.'

Stephanie also said people should avoid feeling 'out of the ordinary by being healthy,' 'forgetting to stretch,' and/or 'giving up.'

Don't look back: Stephanie also said people should avoid feeling 'out of the ordinary by being healthy,' 'forgetting to stretch,' and/or 'giving up'

'Once you're in a routine, I promise you won't look back. It's only when you haven't quite hit that routine yet, that it's difficult, and you get tempted to quit,' Stephanie concluded.

'Once you have lived a healthy lifestyle, it's very hard to go back to being unhealthy.

'Have your goal in your head at all times. Every time you feel like giving up, think about all the hard work you have already gone through, and remind yourself of what's important, and that is feeling and being healthy.'
