And while in New York Katy Perry stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday to talk politics.

The 32-year-old singer wore a luxurious animal-print fur coat and leather knee-high boots as she was spotted at the studios.

Adding to the racy look was a black turtleneck bodysuit and skintight leather trousers.

The Roar singer wore her jet black locks in a tight top knot and sported vibrant red lipstick with gold hoop earrings to complete the look.

In a Snapchat inside the Late Show studios Katy told fans: 'Hanging out with Colby today to talk about politics,' as she cheekily referred the TV host as 'dad' in the caption.

The same day, Katy enlisted the help of an adorable brown puppy named Nugget to help her encourage people to vote.

She then turns towards the precious pup and says 'Don't fall asleep on me, we need you!'

She stumped for Clinton a day after Beyonce and Jay Z rallied support for her in Cleveland, Ohio.
