She's one of the world's most in demand actresses.

But on Monday, Cate Blanchett looked to play her best role yet, every inch the doting mother to one-year-old adopted daughter Edith Upton.

The 47-year-old was joined on set of the Ocean's Eight reboot with her growing brood, including biological son Ignatius Upton, 8.

Cate was spotted in character, donning a leopard print fur coat, teamed with a pair of purple flares and a patterned teal scarf. 

Sporting statement jewels on her ring fingers, the star's short blonde locks were styled into a sleek bob.

Cate also appeared to have a glamorous makeup palette consisting of a flawless base, lashings of mascara, a touch of blush on the apples of her cheeks and a soft pink lip.

Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock have been pictured filming scenes for the all-female spin-off Ocean's Eight in New York, and they both look like they mean business. Check out the fierce animal print coat that Cate's character is wearing!

While on set in New York, Cate could not hide her pleasure over being joined by children Edith and Ignatius.

Edith looked cute as a button in a patterned sweater, teamed with a pair of casual dark pants.

Her look was accessorised with a checkered jacket and silver Ugg boots, while her short blonde locks were swept off one side of her face with a pin.

Cate's biological son Ignatius, 8, dressed casually in a pair of vibrant blue jeans, teamed with a navy puffer jacket and pair of trendy Nike trainers. 

A touching moment saw the Oscar winning crouching down to Edith's level, affectionately pushing back a sweep of hair.

Another moment saw Cate embracing her son, while little Edith watched on. 

Cate adopted Edith in March last year, with husband Andrew Upton.

The couple also share three biological children: Dashiell, 14, Roman, 12, and Ignatius. 

Speaking to Good Morning America last year, the Aussie export revealed that her three sons had taken to their sibling with much love and affection.

She told host George Stephanopoulos: 'We have been blessed, we have been really blessed.

'I have three boys and a girl she's great.'
