She was a stalwart of the 90s Brit Pop scene, whiling her nights away with supermodel Kate Moss and actress Sadie Frost.
But it is not Meg Matthews' hard-partying lifestyle that has prompted her desire to turn back the clock but the menopause.
The glamorous ex-wife of Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, has revealed to MailOnline she was left feeling 'flat' and 's***' at 50 - so decided to lift her spirits by under-going a youth-boosting £2,000 threadlift.
The mother-of-one, whose only daughter, Anais, 17, is now making a name for herself as a glamorous celebrity ambassador for big brands like Reebok, decided on the treatment after feeling like her 'life was over' once she hit the menopause.
Meg Matthews, 50, was a stalwart of the 90s Brit Pop scene, whiling the nights away with Kate Moss and Sadie Frost drinking in the Groucho Club and swapping gossip at Soho House. However, the original party girl has decided to have a threadlift treatment after turning 50 and being left feeling 'flat' due to the menopause
Speaking exclusively to FEMAIL, Meg, who became a household name after she was pictured at a drinks reception at No. 10 when Tony Blair swept to power in 1997, thanks to New Labour's link with Brit pop, said: 'If you're a woman in your fifties and you're going through the menopause then you do feel s*** and you do feel like you're life is a little bit over.
'I would look in the mirror and hone in on my neck all the time. I would go "I hate my neck, I hate my neck". It was crepey and I thought it looked like a turkey neck. Your lack of hormones just makes you feel flat - not that you're depressed for any reason.'
Meg made the decision to undergo a £2,000 Silhouette Soft treatment, which she had at River Aesthetics, to 'lift' her mood and face.
'I don't want to have a facelift where it looks like you're cat-eyed,' said Meg. 'Everyone says to me "you look like you've had a good night's sleep" and that's what you want. They don't go "what have you done? what's different?", they just go "oh, you look like you've been rested", so it works out perfectly. I've had fillers before and got that '"look" and it's ugly.'
'I'm not going to say names because it's not fair but we know who had too many fillers, you can tell, and it's ruined them. Less is more now, it's not all about having big lips, boobs and cheeks. The more natural you look, the better.'
Meg admits to having had fillers in the past but says she couldn't wait for them to wear off. 'I got that '"look" and it's ugly,' said the mother-of-one who scored invites to all the coolest parties in the 90s
Meg Matthews has had a quirky new treatment to boost her youth. The mother-of-one, left, before, and, right, after, had a Silhouette Soft treatment at River Aesthetics
Meg Matthews, left, with model Kate Moss and socialite Fran Cutler at a Vogue Magazine party held at the Lisson Gallery in 1998, and, right, with ex-husband Noel Gallagher, was Queen of the party scene. However, the original party girl has decided to have a threadlift treatment after turning 50 and being left feeling 'flat' due to the menopause
The mother-of-one, whose own daughter, Anais, 17, pictured with Meg, left, at Edward Enninful's OBE Party at Mark's Club, Mayfair, and, right, at the Monki VIP party, is now making a name for herself as a glamorous celebrity ambassador for big brands like Reebok, has undergone a 'threadlift' after going through the menopause left her feeling like her 'life was over'
Meg believes she is young at heart and has a youthful sense of style, so wanted her face to match, adding: 'I still feel 20, but I want to keep my face looking fresh.'
There's little surprise that Meg has a youthful sense of style; her 17-year-old daughter Anais, who she has with ex-husband Noel Gallagher, is taking the fashion industry by storm.
The youngster is currently giving the fashion industry's veterans a run for their money, having already graced the cover of fashion bibles Wonderland and L'Officiel.
Meg does, however, insist that she and Anais won't be hitting the showbiz circuit together anytime soon. 'We don't go out and party together, she's a proper 17-year-old; she doesn't want to hang out with her mum.'
Indeed, it seems that Meg and her famous friends have gradually hung up their stilettos and focused on the school runs and health regimes, making way for the next 'generation guestlist'.
Meg works out three times a week with a personal trainer, spends a 'fortune' on supplements and starts every day with a green juice - but insists she still likes fish and chips on a Friday night.
Meg Mathews, Noel Gallagher's glamorous and fun-loving ex-wife who was a core member of The Primrose Hill Set (named after the upmarket area of London they inhabited), admits that she's feeling 'flat' and 's***' at 50 - so she's taken the plunge and had an expensive youth-boosting threadlift to lift her spirits (left: with best pal Kate Moss in 1998 and, right, with her rocker ex-husband, Noel Gallagher)

'I can’t recapture my youth but at least I can recapture my collagen,' said Meg of her decision to have the treatment
Speaking to FEMAIL about how she felt ahead of having the treatment, Meg said: 'I would look in the mirror and hone in on my neck all the time. I would go "I hate my neck, I hate my neck". It was crepey and I thought it looked like a turkey neck. Your lack of hormones just makes you feel flat - not that you're depressed for any reason'

So does Meg think the years on the party circuit wreaked havoc with her looks?
'No!,' she exclaims. 'The more I went out, the more people offered me free facials. I have a facial and massage once a week.'
But it's not all rest and relaxation for Meg, who has a penchant for interior design (the Beckhams were her first clients), and is focusing her efforts on a furniture company, Baker Street Boys, that she runs with her friends.
'I have got to just concentrate on this because I've got a bit of ADHD and if I start, I will be off doing a hundred things and everyone will just be annoyed at me so just concentrate on this for the time being.'
Meg concludes: 'It’s completely unrealistic to try to chase an impossible ideal and look like I did - I am 50 years old and have been through the menopause. I would be crazy to try and look like I did when I was younger.
'However, I probably don’t dress my age, so I want to look the very best I can for my age. But I didn’t want to look artificial, so I did my research and found out about a treatment that could kick-start my own lost collagen by stimulating my body to recreate it for me.
'I can’t recapture my youth but at least I can recapture my collagen.'
