She revealed she is expecting her first child with husband New Zealander Charlie Thomson in September.

Now looking happier than ever, Alex Jones exuded her radiant pregnancy glow as she stepped out for Bonham's London to Brighton Vintage Car Run on Sunday.

The 39-year-old highlighted her blossoming baby bump as she posed for pics with fellow BBC colleague and motor enthusiast Chris Evans at the charity race's starting line at Hyde Park Corner.

Driving for Children in Need, the One Show presenter wrapped up in a bottle green wool coat, equipped with wide lapels and a suede fabric waist belt. 

The Welsh beauty attempted to cut the winter chill in her 40s inspired overcoat which she accessorised with a colorful paisley print scarf around her neck and an eye-catching red rose pin.

Alex placed a dark terracotta felt brim hat over her shoulder-length chocolate brown tresses as she held a hot beverage in her dark red manicure mitts for warmth.

Truly showing the sign of winter, she donned a pair of thick black tights as she slipped on a leather mid-heeled boot for the occasion.

Keeping to a vintage theme, Alex accentuated her flawless complexion with a dusting of rose blush across her cheeks as she worked a retro inspired feline flick to offset her brown peepers.

Also wrapping up at the event, BBC Radio 2 presenter Chris worked a distressed dark brown knee-length coat. 

The 50-year-old looked dapper as he sported a patterned scarf and patch work flat cap at the event.

Sporting his usual scruff around his jawline, Chris donned a pair of retro clubmaster inspired shades as he greeted Alex with a kiss on the cheek at the event.

It was announced earlier this week that Robot Wars presenter Angela Scanlon, 32, and Watchdog host Michelle Ackerley will take over from Alex on The One Show's green couch when she goes on maternity leave. 

The flame-haired Irish presenter previously enjoyed a stint on the show earlier, with many taking to Twitter to rave about the style maven's presenting skills.

Michelle will appear on Mondays and Tuesdays, with Angela covering Thursdays and Fridays, while they will both alternate on Wednesdays, starting in the new year.

Last week, the star treated her 34k Instagram followers to a peak of her growing baby bump, with the caption: 'The bump is gathering pace!'

The TV star announced her pregnancy in September on Twitter, posting: 'Charlie & I are very happy to confirm that we're expecting a baby in the new year. Feel so lucky that we're about to become parents. Xx.' 

Alex's baby news came just before she emotionally revealed on This Morning her fears that she may not be able to get pregnant.

In an interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the brunette beauty revealed her 'naivety' over the longevity of her own fertility.

Talking about a documentary she filmed on the topic when she was aged 38, she said: 'My mum went through the menopause at 44 and that's six years older than me.

'I wasn't pregnant when I filmed the documentary. I was 38 and it was terrifying. I was naive. I knew age impacts your fertility but I didn't realise to what extent.'

Alex also said that it was during filming that she first discovered that her mother had early onset menopause.

'Mum and I never talked about it, it never came up. I always wanted a family. Mum never put pressure on me or my sister to have kids.

'She probably thought I didn't need to know it,' she explained.
