Fresh meat: After months of speculation, the line-up of stars heading into the Australian jungle to battle it out on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has been unveiled

The group will find themselves sharing the famed jungle camp with some equally familiar faces from across the world of sport and entertainment.

Also making their way into the Outback jungle are former England footballer Wayne Bridge, Olympian Sam Quek and ex EastEnders villain Larry Lamb.

The line-up is rounded off with the addition of Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo and comedian Joel Dommett.

Carol in particular seems to be relishing the chance to turn her life upside down and head into the infamous outback.

Here come the girls: This year's list of daring - or not so daring - celebrities includes the likes of (L-R) TV presenter Carol Vorderman, model Lisa Snowdon and reality star Scarlett Moffatt

A fan of the show for many a year, the former Countdown star explained her decision, saying: 'I have been watching the show for years and have laughed so much. It is so funny.

'Now I am a menopausal Mama, I am having the time of my life, and I'm doing a lot more adventurous stuff. It’s the sense of adventure that I love about this show.'

She jokingly added: 'I'll be 56 in December and there is life in the old bird yet!'

'Ready for the challenge: Carol said: 'Now I'm a menopausal Mama, I'm having the time of my life, and I'm doing a lot more adventurous stuff'

There's life left in her: She jokingly added: 'I'll be 56 in December and there is life in the old bird yet!'

Similarly, Lisa is up for the challenge too, with the model explaining she wants to take a step out of her comfort zone - something she can definitely expect in the jungle.

'They’ve asked me to do I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! before, and I’ve always said no,' she explained. 'But this year, I got excited. I am at the stage in my life where it’s good to be challenged.'

And thinking of the challenge ahead, she said: 'I know it is a bit extreme to go into the Jungle but I want to step outside my comfort zone.'

Camp role: 'Cook – I love food!'

Miss most: 'My family and phone, I speak to them all the the time'

Dream camp mate: Bear Grylls

Out of the comfort zone: Lisa said:  'I'm at the stage in my life where it’s good to be challenged. I know it's a bit extreme to go into the Jungle but I want to step out of my comfort zone'

And it seems that she knows exactly what she's let herself in for, as she explained she knows leaving home for so long will be almost the toughest thing about the experience.

'I live with my boyfriend, I am on the phone constantly, I speak to my family and friends all the time and I am so used to having them around me,' she said.

'I am always thinking about food as well so to suddenly be far away with no creature comforts is going to be a challenge.'

However, she seems optimistic about the experience, and added: 'You’ve got to jump in with your feet first and think, "What is the worst that can happen? I am going to be really scared."'

Just excited: Scarlett gushed: 'Oh my God, never ever did I ever think this was going to happen. I have been watching this show for as long as I can remember!'

Meanwhile Scarlett is still shocked that she's heading into the iconic jungle, with the Gogglebox star gushing: 'Oh my God, never ever did I ever think this was going to happen.

'I have been watching this show for as long as I can remember and I am getting overwhelmed by the fact I am going to meet Ant & Dec in the actual flesh!'

However, she thinks she might struggle more than most, as she's incredibly close to her family - as well as being used to some home comforts.

'I am quite molly coddled in life, and me and my family are a bit Brady Bunch,' she explained. 'I do everything with my Mum and Dad, and I will be quite curious to see how I cope just being me.'

They're back! Fans of the show will be pleased to see stalwart hosts Ant & Dec back at the helm

Want to show people something in particular? 'It would be nice to be me rather than a role I’m playing.'

Camp role: 'Cook!'

Miss most: 'Family, friends and tea.'

Dream camp mate: Barack Obama

And while they'll each have nothing but the best intentions as they try to band together to survive in the jungle, each of this year's stars will be hoping to dethrone last year's Queen of the Jungle, Vicky Pattison.

Fans of the show, which sees a group of celebrities left to fend for themselves in the Australian outback whilst attempting to complete 'Bushtucker Trials' for rations and public favour, will be pleased to see stalwart hosts Ant & Dec back at the helm.

The Geordie duo will be hosting the main offering of the show, whilst a new-look team will add extra depth to the coverage on the spin-off show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here Now!

Dancing her way to victory? Ola has got the moves on the dancefloor, but will her fast footwork and rhythm be of any use in the jungle?

Smooth operator: Actor Larry Lamb is sure to bring a slice of suave southern charm to the camp, plus he thinks he might be a shoo-in for camp cook

No drama here: Adam's used to an inordinate amount of drama being a star of Emmerdale, but will he be able to cope with the plot-twists that the jungle throws at him?

The boys are back in town: Wayne Bridge and Joel Dommett are looking to use their famous talents to help out in the camp

The extra offering, which airs on ITV2, will now go by I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp, and following Laura Whitmore's departure will be headed up by a new team that retains her former co-host, Joe Swash.

Joining the former soap star on the spin-off are his girlfriend and former camp mate, Stacey Solomon, comedian Chris Ramsey and Queen of the the Jungle herself, Vicky.

And if viewers are hoping to see the usual mix of flirty banter and conflict they won't be disappointed on at least one of those fronts, as 30-year-old Joel has admitted he's looking forward to being stuck in the wilderness with singleton Carol.

Take a last look at glamour: The celebs seem ready and raring to go, but there will no doubt be a few surprises lurking inside the jungle for them

One source told The Sun: 'She fits the mould of an I'm A Celeb contestant, she's got a great sense of humour, gets on well with people and is easy on the eye.'

But as usual not is all as it seems, as firm-favourite for the jungle, Danny Baker, ruled himself out of the competition on Tuesday morning - saying he chucked in the chance as he wasn't allowed to bring wine into the camp.

And rumours that Homes Under The Hammer host Martin Roberts was going in seem, so far, to have had no substance to them.

No sign: Rumoured favourite Danny Baker has ruled himself out after bosses refused for him to take wine into the jungle, while reports  Homes Under The Hammer host Martin Roberts was joining the camp appear to be unfounded

Here he comes: Larry Lamb arrived at Brisbane Airport on Tuesday morning
