A crane weighing 3.9-tonne is hanging dangerously from the 51st floor of Tower One at Barangaroo in Sydney. The busy streets below have been shut down in an exclusion zone after the incident occurred at 2pm on Tuesday. The developer of Barangaroo, Lend Lease, confirmed there had been an incident 'impending the operation of a crane at Barangaroo.'

The victim of a horrific Tinder stalker attack, Dr Angela Jay, is a 'beautiful and bubbly' doctor originally from California. In 1981, a friend convinced Xan Fraser (pictured left with Daisy Coyle who plays Ms Fraser in a stage show) to go to a party near her Eagleby home in Logan, Queensland, where she was plied with alcohol until she passed out. She was then carried to a secluded bush block by three older boys, who sexually assaulted and 'played with' her for hours before leaving her for dead. A 13-year-old boy in India whose head was hanging at a 180-degree angle has died just eight months after life-changing surgery. Mahendra Ahirwar (pictured, left) suffered from a rare condition called congenital myopathy. After the operation he was able to go to school (right) and enjoyed a relatively normal life. His mother, Sumitra, said today: 'I will miss him. I've no idea how I'll cope with the loss. He's with God now. I hope he is able to find peace. He's had a painful life. I hope wherever he is, he is pain free.' She said: 'He enjoyed his new life for just eight months. I wish he could have lived longer to see more.'

CCTV captured the moment a Toyota Prado ploughed through a computer store in Mooloolaba yesterday and into the massage parlour next door, injuring four people. One woman getting a massage is thought to have suffered head injuries and lacerations, while two staff members received minor injuries. The driver was also taken to hospital after apparently losing consciousness, with one witness saying he 'couldn't remember what had happened.'

The face, which resembles the famous ghost from the 2002 horror film The Ring, seemed to appear in the middle of the mysterious picture which was taken at the Newsham Park Hospital in Liverpool (right). Host Phil Barron, 45, was leading the 32-strong group at the former Victorian orphanage when he unwittingly snapped the photograph (left). The orphanage dates back to the Victorian era and was opened in 1874 to support and educate the orphans of British seamen. Legend has it that conditions there were harsh and cruel and after being converted into a hospital it's now home to a maze of corridors, wards, accommodation blocks, chapel and even a morgue.

The man, known only by his first name, Ramulu, was trying to take his wife, Kavitha, back to her home town after she died near a railway station in Hyderabad, western India. But he had less than £12 on him and was told that the ambulance to take her there would cost £60. So he decided to attempt to carry her there by creating a makeshift stretcher and dragging her behind him. But he had only got as far as the town of Vikarabad in Telangana State when he collapsed in tears from exhaustion.

Liam Weaver, 37, a tour guide from Tasmania, said the quoll and wallaby were jumping up to a metre in the air as they fought one another, before the quoll managed to suffocate its prey. In 25 years trekking the bush, Mr Weaver said he has only ever seen one other quoll. They are typically nocturnal, preying on small mammals, reptiles, birds and their eggs. If they do eat larger prey, such as a wallaby, it is usually as carrion after a larger predator has killed it.
