The critically-acclaimed period piece, which looks to be Gibson's re-entry into show business in the wake of the multiple scandals, had a modest box office in its opening weekend.

It ended up making $14.75 million as it finished in third place finish, well behind Doctor Strangem, which made $85 million and Trolls, which earned $45.6 million.
